Interesting: both Grocery Games taped that day had an $894 prize package.  

A $4200 Chevelle?!?  And a $210 washer/dryer?!?!?

Also, Steve, I've been wondering about that carpeting for ages.  Did he give a price for it?

EDIT: Duh no, prices are only given for prizes won.

I'm very curious about the prices of some other 1972 prizes (which should be rather easy to figure out since some things were used all the time).

So this was the first Double Overbid in "Price is Right" history.  I wonder if they cued the Losing Horns for this or not.
