See the FAQ. The 1st known April Fools' Showcase was in 1974. It was an Every Room in the House Showcase with incredibly cheap prizes (e.g., paper plates for the dining room).

Still, this was incredibly funny.
Certainly more competent in running a game than Roger Goddell.

I think the way Johnny says "Unless they don't LIIIIIKE YOUUUUUUU!!" is really funny for some reason.
