It'll be interesting to see LMAD(a non Goodson or Fremantle show) and how it's updated. The rest are pretty much Goodson show, right?

Press Your Luck was produced by The Carruthers Company, but I think Fremantle now owns the rights.

Considering that Fremantle gave us Whammy!, I think you're right..

Yeah almost forgot about that, but I'd consider Whammy and PYL one and the same for production purposes.

Right. But what I'm saying is that I think Axl is right, and Fremantle now owns the rights to Press Your Luck (which they then "remade" as Whammy)...

Does anyone know if the games are going to be played exactly as they were when they initially aired?  I do recall reading something that they have adjusted a few things to accomodate modern technology, but are those the only "changes" that have been made?  In other words, we shouldn't expect something like, say, models on Press Your Luck, should we?

Rest easy. As has been stated o'er and o'er again, they're staying as true to the originals as possible. That means show-by-show if there were no models then, there won't be any now.

(And that also means Brandi goes solo on LMAD, just like Carol - RIGHT?)

BTW: If you paid close attention today, notice that CBS recut the GSM promo. The opening walkon from PYL was deleted.

I still want to know, though, how they're going to work the Big Wheel into a "classic-style" half-hour Price episode.

It's an hour-long show. Are you sure they play a "classic-style" half-hour ep.?

I'll be darned -- so they are.

I'm still under the impression, though, that only three pricing games were played.

I figure they'd take the two highest scoring contestants from the wheel.  I thought that's what they did on the Davidson version.

I thought there was only one showcase on the Davidson version, but I've been wrong before.

I know this is gonna be a dumb question, but are the Pricing games mocked on this show or are they the real ones used on TPiR?

No mocking in "Game Show Marathon." It's all done with care and respect to the classic shows.

I don't think catdogwheel meant "mocked" as in "are they going to make fun of all the game shows."

I took the question to mean: are the props that will be used to play the pricing games (for example, the Plinko board and chips, the dice from Let 'Em Roll, and so forth) the actual ones used on the "real" The Price Is Right, or will they be specially made just for use on Game Show Marathon?
Fun fact: Evelyn Wong, the 5th person to be called on the first show (9/4/72), was actually the very first contestant to directly be called to come on down!  The original first four (Sandy Flornor, Paul Levine, Connie Donnel, Myra Carter) were individually told to stand up, and then, as a group, were invited to come on down.

Ah. Some of the set pieces were borrowed from the daytime show; some were built just for the special. I'll elaborate once the episode airs.

As for the wheel -- I saw the wheel-spinning unfold, and I'm still not 100% sure how they worked it in.

I think that's "mock-ups" incidentally, not "mocking"

I wonder if this will be out on Bittorrent....
