Emily ended up semi-annoying me...she really started screaming once significant winnings piled up.

Rolly is easy? Certainly not at the moment...I've lost count of how many times the 3rd GP has intentionally been set up to be lost at this point.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

I'll have to watch this episode on cbs.com.  Lost several minutes in the middle due to local station cut-ins to cover tornado warning.

Squeeze Play... what the hell kind of a setup was that?  "Take out this 2, this 3, that 2, or that 3?"  Seriously...

Since when did LCD TVs become expensive again?

Great to see Let 'Em Roll won on just two rolls.

My showcase bids:
Dodge--$28,507
Mazda--$30,107
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Emily felt like a "classic Bob"-style contestant.  Doesn't seem like we see as many of those anymore, but they're a lot of fun when they can get called and do really well, like Emily did!  Just made everything so fun since she could win a lot, and react to winning a lot :).

I know Squeeze Play often comes to a random 1-in-3 (or 4) shot, but it's not supposed to feel as random as it did today.  I hadn't even figured out whether I'd have won or lost when the price was revealed :P.

It feels kinda' wrong to have Half Off offer the second cheapest prize of the day.

What, this episode only has 6 replies so far? This was actually a pretty good episode. I disagree about Emily - when contestants' enthusiasm is truly genuine and they aren't doing it just to show off, I can respect that. She even seemed a bit LFAT-ish - she clearly knew what was going on in 1/2 Off and at least what she needed to do on her first spin. Her enthusiasm and Chelsea's in LER - these are the kind of contestants we need to see more often, and they really helped raise this otherwise fairly average show. You could tell by the setups Mike definitely didn't want either of those games won either.

Was nice to see a trailer as a pricing game prize today, even if it was a bit on the expensive side - we don't see those often apart from the Little Guys anymore.

I agree with others that Squeeze Play was entirely too difficult and random today. That was evil even for Mike.

Nice to see a couple of natural showcase progressions today - small prize-trip-car and cash-small prize-car. They do get it sometimes...

Timings:
Squeeze Play (3.5)- 2:46
1/2 Off (5.5)- 5:55
Cover Up (5) - 5:02
Most Expensive (3.5) - 3:24
Let 'em Roll (5.5) - 5:18
Range Game (4) - 3:26
Total (27): 25:41

Emily was an awesome contestant!  I haven't seen someone get so giddy about being on the show in a long while.  It was absolutely wonderful to see her win so much!

Chelsea was pretty good, too.  It was nice to see her win her first car, and to see Drew actually play it up.

You know what I miss about Let 'em Roll?  I miss the game being set up so the contestant actually gets both groceries right.  The groceries were never supposed to be an important part of the game.

Squeeze Play and Range Game do not need to be played for five-digit prizes, especially on the same episode.

Cover Up was absolutely heartbreaking.  Drew did such a good job building it up, too (which was surprising, given how robotic he was for most of the episode).

I'm getting really tired of Most Expen$ive being set up for a loss every time it's played.

I agree with Steve, Frank and others who thought Emily was a great contestant. She seemed genuinely excited whenever she won -- and what a great win in 1/2-Off that was. It was good to see her have a great day, with $11,000 in cash and a new car in hand.

Wow, that was a tricky Squeeze Play setup. I personally can't recall the last time it was set up with a repeating set of two digits (such as today, with 2-3-2-3 in the removeable portion of the price). Nice to see it made a challenge, but this should be rare.

IMO, I don't really care if: 1. The cash in 1/2-Off was in the same box the last time; or 2. If two normally four-digit price games both have five-digit prices in the same episode. The latter doesn't really increase the excitement at all, but playing Range Game for a trailer sure beats playing for, say, a room or a prize best reserved for a grocery-pricing game.

Incidentally, how do the producers determine which box will be the winning one in 1/2-Off? Do they pick the number out of a hat or something before setting up the game? (There was nothing in the FAQ about the process, so that's why I ask here.)

Do they pick the number out of a hat or something before setting up the game?

Virtually nothing on the show that appears to be random is.

As a matter of fact, Roger had a rule of never putting the money in Box #13, but it was broken this season.

My favorite contestant was Chelsea. She seemed so genuinely moved by winning the car. Not a hint of artifice or playing to the cameras.

That Range Game set-up was likely as much of a gimme as one can get in the game. My guess was actually $14,999 (just four dollars off from the $14,995 value). It seemed like something they'd price at a nearly-round number near $15,000.
