Oh my gosh!!!  A contestant representing my home province was on TPIR yesterday!!!  It is a rarity for a contestant from Newfoundland to appear on TPIR!

If I remember correctly, the last time a contestant from Newfoundland was on TPIR was in 2007 - during the final weeks of the Bob Barker era.  If I remember correctly, he won over $20,000 in loot, and made history being the final Newfoundland contestant to meet Bob Barker in person.  Despite not winning much, Andrea made history of her own by being the first Newfoundland contestant on TPIR during the Drew Carey years.

A note on the showcases here. If Nicole had taken 1 from the second digit and added that 1 to the fourth digit, she would've gotten an exacta.

That's how painful her overbid was.
