Nor would be they so cheap as to put that Audi in Golden Road. I'm talking about if they wanted to play a Big 3 so soon again (and I am befuddled as to why this was the case), the proper choice would have been Triple Play, set up like last playing.

They could have played Deck or even TTM for the Audi, seems to be they'd underprice the Audi in both of those games. Some of us thought that when Deck was played for a Beamer and TTM for a Mercedes, and they were both lost :) Not to mention a player in Ten Chances would have thought 2 was the first number in the price(the player today thought 3 was)

Actually, if you go through one of the shows that are up on cbs.com, they show other shows at the very end, and those missing shows (and today's show, for that matter) *today's show just appeared* appear there. Seem to work too.

Yay!  3 Strikes!  Wow, I'll bet Mike wasn't counting on this game to be won three times in a row!  Another exciting win!

What was up with the range of prices in Most Expen$ive today?  $927, $2,595, and $6,167?  Seriously?

My showcase bids:
:frbs: --$32,107
Car--$32,107
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

They've had Corvettes in Golden Road (not recently) and they are usually in the $50,000-$60,000 range. Especially towards the end of the season, if they wanted to play Golden road for a $50,000 prize, they could. I don't think anyone here would care, as long as the game got played.

But you're right, Triple Play is due.

I'm waiting for 3 Strikes to be played for a $60,000 car. It could happen.  ;)

This would have been my line up for today's show...

3 strikes or triple play/Penny Ante (if it was still in rotation) or Pick a pair/shopping spree/Double Prices/Shell Game/Any Number

Man, these 3 Strikes wins are almost old hat by now, aren't they? :) Seriously, we are on an incredible good luck streak with that game, and they've all been dramatic victories too - today was especially surprising considering she only had one number lit up when she hit the 2nd strike. I think Jessica was helped by our easiest number setup yet. The Audi was REALLY loaded up to 50+k (base model Audi A5) is in the 30s, but there was no trap 4 for the 1st digit, and she managed to get lucky placing the 6 and 7. Still, what a win! And since the staff is reading the board - I promise you it isn't ordinarily won this often. :) We're just on quite a streak.

The rest of the show was rather unspectacular mostly due to the blah lineup, although that didn't matter today because the win was just that great But the 4 quick games plus broken Punchboard lineup could really have made for a blah show  if 3 Strikes went short for some reason. Also, nothing should be set that quite high up the Range Game scale, even a car - really.

Oh, and the return of sexed-up showcases! They must have found some extra budget money in the couch or something. Still, are $15,000 Switzerland trips really necessary?

Timings:
3 Strikes (7) - 7:10
Flip Flop (3.5) - 2:56
Most Expensive (3.5) - 3:33
Double Prices (3) - 2:36
Punch A Bunch (5.5) - 5:04
Range Game (4) - 3:01
Total (26.5): 24:20

SPOILER: The show was all like "**** the budget" today.

I like that comment! :)

Many people have already said it, but I'll say it again anyway: Fantastic win in 3 Strikes today!!

On Range Game: Again, I'll say it's beyond time to widen the $150 range. Especially when one is playing for a car.

Another spiffy Challenger offered and won :-).  And how long has it been since no one joined the showcase winner on stage? That took me back to 70s PIR (although I'm sure it's happened since then).

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Considering the range is still $600, I think the rangefinder is just perfect right now. Besides, they already tried increasing the rangefinder on the Dennis James version. It was $200 for a very short time (1/3 the range!). Needless to say, didn't work out.
HYO Winnings:
$46,241.21 (Participated in 6 games; on stage 4 times)

3 STRIKES!!!  This was about the last thing I expected to see today.  Awesome to see it won again, too.  I can't believe it's on a three-game winning streak!

I do wonder how Mike thought he could afford to play this, though.  They're still majorly overbudget, and the producer has NO control over 3 Strikes.  Between that, the Showcase, and the other pricing game wins, over $100,000 was given away today...I'm pretty sure they're at a point where they can't afford that.

I also wish they'd play 3 Strikes somewhere other than first.  It was played throughout the show for decades, and it worked just fine.

Bing has both episodes up for streaming.  Why they aren't showing up on cbs.com (and Fancast has them as having expired, too) is beyond me...

They're up on TVGuide.com, too...and in better quality, in my opinion.

Anyone else notice that Drew actually mentioned the $150 range today and didn't just call it "the red thing?" I was pleasantly surprised.

Also, the 3 Strikes win was AWESOME...that game really can keep you on the edge of your seat sometimes.

Careful, that doesn't make the change to the old rules the proper one.
If you're talking about adding two strike chips... that's not exactly new, since they used to do that a long time ago.
