If you're talking about adding two strike chips... that's not exactly new, since they used to do that a long time ago.
Regardless of whether using the term "old/new" is improper or not, the fact is the rules were reverted back from 1 to 3 strikes to make the game significantly harder so that Mike would allow it to return to offering luxury cars (and this is still with it being underplayed). What has basically happened as a whole in these last two seasons is a crazy case of law of averages where just about every playing was extremely lucky or unlucky.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Great to see another win in 3 Strikes! This game should be played more often than it currently is.

I would say it is.  3 Strikes went through so many rule changes in Seasons 37 and 38 that referring to them as "old" or "new" barely even means anything anymore.

3 Strikes is starting to become my favorite game on the show. The wins this season with that game have had me on the edge of my seat. Turns out they've finally done something right - I don't think they've screwed up 3 Strikes this season, have they?

3 Strikes when it is down to a 50/50 shot on the last pull is the best moment possible on the show.   It is either total heartbreak or euphoria.   Awesome!

I don't remember anything unusual about Range Game here, except for it was for a car.
