Ladies and gentlemen...the victory ceremony for the Golden-Road.net CSS playoffs!


The medals will be presented by BigJon06, official CSS host and stats-keeper.  Bronze medalist, representing Canada....FieldsFan336!
(Cheers as Fieldsy ascends the podium and receives the bronze medal)

Silver medalist, representing Canada....Hag!
(Cheers as Hag ascends the podium and receives the silver medal)

Gold medalist and CSS champion, representing the United States of America....PhatBoi504!
(More cheers as Phat ascends the top step and receives the gold medal.  All receive flowers)

Ladies and gentlemen, the national anthem of the United States of America
(Anthem plays as the flags of the medalists are raised to the rafters.  Cheers as anthem ends)

Ladies and gentlemen, the CSS medalists! (Cheers, confetti and fireworks)

The fact that there are people that did worse than me boggles my mind.  I guess the fact that I actually pulled off one DSW during the playoffs buoyed me a little...?

But yeah, I guess it's official that I will never win a CSS playoffs.  Then again, the last three years or so have been pretty much impossible, thanks to the whole 'playing blind' thing.

Congrats Phatboi! Great job throughout the playoffs. Also, way to pull off a last-minute surge, Fieldsy!

And thanks Jon for a great first season of running CSS! That's a whole LOT of spreadsheets - thanks for all the hard work. This really is a fun game, and it's cool to have a record number of people playing it now.

The irony is that much of my regular season success can be attributed to an extremely low overbid rate, and yet it was an overbid on that evil $18K showcase last week that ended up costing me a DSW in the playoffs.  Fifth place is still 3 places better than I finished in the playoffs last year, though.  :-)

Congrats to Phatboi on the convincing win, and also to Hag for taking second and not overbidding at all in the playoffs!

Congrats to the top five!  I had a good run this year, compaired to last year, but I sure did choke in the playoffs.  Oh well.  There's always next year.

Never assume someone will win just because they have 19 bonus points. :P I did similarly bad last year in the playoffs.
