I don't understand the few references I have seen which call Now Or Then today a "strategy fail".  Once the first item is wrong, then you need to get the Eggs in order to win, so why not get them out of the way?  I don't really see a strategic disadvantage to picking it right away.
If you wanted to ride the Hypothetical Train of Insane Reasoning, it could be argued that, knowing the hidden 4 Now's, 2 Then's rule, going around would be the better to figure out the answer to the eggs. That is assuming that this team of father and son are members of Golden-Road.net. Thank you for boarding the train, watch your step as you depart.

Honestly, that didn't occur to me. Shows how much I was paying attention. -__-

Me: Of all of the game shows you've hosted, besides Jeopardy!, like High Rollers or Classic Concentration, which is your favorite?

I just don't understand the point of these couples shows.  I'm sure they could be interesting with the right host...but Drew can't even make one contestant at a time stand out.  It seems like they're trying to fix the problem by ignoring it and changing other stuff instead in the hopes that people won't notice.

Speaking of contestants, both of the guys who played Double Prices seemed like total dumbasses.

There is no way Now....and Then was going to be won.

Did it seem to anyone else like they forgot that they might still have women on the show today when they planned the first showcase?

The car setups were simply inexcusable today for a "special" show - no reason both should be forced losses on this type of show.

Well, when you're "immensely overbudget" before a 3 Strikes win and three DSWs, you've gotta do something.

If they really weren't sure about the eggs, shouldn't they have just picked them first?  Plus, I doubt that many people outside of this site know the 4/2 rule.  When I was watching the show, I thought they made a dumb move, too.  Even if you are just trying to find the Then products, wouldn't you be better off picking one of the adjoining products instead of the eggs?

Wow. Now... and Then was a COMPLETE disaster. Future contestants, if you play this game, and if you miss one, pick the one NEXT to it. You have a better chance of winning it. Other than that, this was your typical forgettable show.

No, you don't...
Well, I figured that when missing one prize, picking the prize next to it will give more leeway. I don't know, I'm not a rocket scientist.

And you were wrong.  You still eventually have to use the item across from the one you missed.

Maybe because the contestants played it like complete dumbasses? :P

It was more of a "climactic fail" than a "strategy fail."
