I said only those knowing exactly where to look, and basically ignoring the main focus of the shot (the contestant, Drew, and the next set of choices). That's a very small minority.
1) This is in direct contradiction to the complaint that I hear all of the time from numerous people around here (and maybe even yourself) that the home audience is the most important. So, which is it - does Drew have to entertain the studio or the home audience, or is it whatever is just convenient for the circumstances?
2) My wife, who
hates the show and dreads watching it everyday (nothing to do with Drew or the quality of the show -- she's just sick and tired of watching TPiR and other game shows) can see the outline of the price every time in Pathfinder & Range Game, and I can sure as hell guarantee you she's not actively looking for it.
I mean sometimes people don't go looking to spoil themselves. I think in the case of Pathfinder, it can be pretty glaring. However, I don't hear of this problem in 3 Strikes. If 3 Strikes has some different kind of display, perhaps they can change them to that.
If not, maybe it is all in the camera angle. Change that first and see what happens.
It's pretty damn glaring in Pathfinder.
I didn't notice it until the show went into high definition and started using the jib camera on Pathfinder. I've noticed the outline is a lot more glaring when they're using the jib in that game than anything else.
Range Game, on the other hand, doesn't use the jib and I can still usually figure out when to stop it because I can see the outline. Again, this wasn't the case before the show went high def.
Like others, I've noticed it on Pocket Change too.
There's probably a real simple fix on Range Game & Pathfinder - maybe use a darker shade of green?
