A little surprised they didn't continue with the adoption segments, considering Drew still does the "have your pets spayed or neutered" tag (or was that something Barker insisted on keeping on the show after he had left, regardless of who they hired to host?)

A little of both -- Bob was planning to ask, but Drew offered first.

Still, saying, "Help control the pet population.  Have your pet spayed or neutered," every day while signing off is a little different from working in a pet adoption segment every week.

Well they did finally do a "pet adoption week"...but disappointingly they only had dogs, once again no kitties :(
