Lackluster show. Daniel Goddard again?

At least Christopher played Pocket well.

L7: The prize copy people made a mistake on the Focus plug; w/ that price of $19,185, it didn't have paint/fabric protection.

Grand: When will people learn that Liquid Plumr's not that expensive?

SBS: Should not have been lost.

OWP: A Bose HDTV costing way more than most ones made by Sony & SAMSUNG? Not fair.

PC: Christopher played this much better than I thought he would; there wasn't much doubt about that one!

Range: Boy, did Christopher save our bacon or what?

Showcases: Yet another nice Showcase difference! Too bad neither Showcase was that expensive.

Fairly average episode today.

So we went from an excellent show yesterday to this piece of crap. This was a horrendous show.

-Mike....there are no words for the way Lucky $even was set up. Seriously, why didn't you just give the contestant his IUFB and skip the game.
-Grand Game was lost on a nice reasonable setup.
-Side-By-Side was blown. He and his friends unfortunately thought that it was more money instead of looking at the -99.
-The fact that the TV was Bose made me realize that price was right. Too bad that didn't occur to our contestant.
-Pocket Change saved the show. I love when this game is won. It isn't easy to snag.
-Range Game was it's usual self.

As long as Goddard just stands there and smile....I won't hurt him.

Is this the season of Great Showcase Bids? My word.

There's no need to sex-up a Bose TV, or Bose anything for that matter. It's Bose, it's going to be expensive anyway. A $5000 Bose TV is about the same quality as a $2000 TV from any other company.

(Un)Lucky $even was fifteen new types of evil today - a 1 in the third digit, an 8 following that, and now there's a 5 as the last digit, even with paint/fabric protection?

Grand Game had some unusual GPs today (holiday season and all). It did all hinge on the Liquid Plumbr, though.

Question: does a stoner know about the -99 trend of pricing? Answer: no.

Pocket Change was the lone light in this mess of an episode. Solid playing and good cards drawn - that's what we need in this game and that's what we got. It also means both shows this week have thrown out at least one car in pricing games, which is good considering the draught car games have had lately; only one car was won in a pricing game all of last week. The fact that the wins came from games not won most of the time is cool, too!

Other than that, blah show. Next!

Well, Mike and Adam have proven once again that they're utterly clueless about setting up a special episode.  Lucky $even was a forced loss, Grand Game was pretty mean, and the blatantly obvious right answer in 1 Wrong Price wasn't the right answer.

Justin came off as a childish dumbass.  He was one of the biggest show-offs I've seen in Contestants' Row in quite some time.

Does anyone else find it amusing that the Plinko version of the Decades ad has the Barker theme in it?

What the hell has Dimich been drinking this week?  The directing on the Big Wheel looks like it's being altered on the fly for no reason, and Range Game looked pretty crappy today, too.

At least Pocket ¢hange managed to be awesome.  Best win we've seen on there in quite a while.

They really could have had something if they'd built off of the first showcase a little better today...they could have made it "Prizes to Help Celebrate Christmas in the South" and made the second one "Prizes to Help Celebrate Christmas in the North."  Of course, it would have required altering some of the prizes (probably replacing the catered dinner and the trip with a 4-wheel drive car to get through the snow with), but it would have been very much worth it.

Today show was okay Drew did a good job hosting today.
A Big Rich Fields Drew Carey And Jeff Davis Fan For Ever From Kirsten

Rich Fields Thanks Kirsten. I pick out and supply all of my own clothing. That light gray suit is hard to pair with shirts and ties... but I think the lavender shirt and purple patterned tie pulled it all together.

My Favorite Announcers On The Price Is Right Are Johnny Olson Rod Roddy Rich Fields Jeff Davis.

I Met And Took Two Pictures With Jeff Davis On May 24, 2012 He Is So Nice And Kind In Person.

Rich Fields said this about Drew Carey will always be the first to defend Drew (Carey). He's one of the most genuine, down to earth people in Hollywood that I've ever met. He was the first to come to me and tell me that the show was going in a different direction. He assured me it was not his decision to let me go and I believe him. No one else was open and honest about it, but Drew was. We've continued working together on different projects and we stay in regular touch. We'll be good friends well into the future.

Lucky 7 - That was one of the most evil lucky 7 setups i've ever seen i thought the 3rd number would be higher than a 5 but it turned out to be a 1.
Grand Game - Another game setup that was evil
Side by side - This was easy and it shouldn't have been lost
One Wrong Price - Another Evil Setup i thought the TV was wrong.
Pocket Change - Nice win to save the show had he made 4 more mistakes and he wouldn't have won the car and we'd be skunked.
Range game - Tricky as usual.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

Lucky Seven, Grand Game:  Evil.
Side By Side:  I can't believe this was lost - that was screaming $8,099 (at least it was to me, anyway)! :headbang:
One Wrong Price, Range Game:  Rats! :-(
Pocket Change:  Great win!
Showcase:  Another great bid! :-)

Not too good overall, IMHO.

I don't normally complain about stuff like this, but what's up with the way Amber's been wearing her hair so far this week?  She has beautiful hair - why does she have to hide it? ???
Velvet Sky - 2 time Knockouts Champion, the hottest Knockout, and my favorite Knockout!!

This is what usually happens when Grinch Mike sets up for 1-2/6, not yesterday. If he really wanted OWP won, he should have used a different TV, but I stand by he wanted 1/6 with the lowcases to make up for yesterday and/or prepare for whatever is ahead this week.

EDIT: Not sure why Goddard is being used like this. Seems very superfluous, but better than a normal guest, I guess.

EDIT2: Bobby, cars than still end in -5 on paint, albeit rarely. This is the same car as the last MoL, did it have paint then?

I think we are now 2 for 2 this season in terms of showcase wins with Australians in the showcases.
Rather appropriate name for the winner too when it comes to the showcase he won.

Really no need to waste my time on this show. Bad lineup (no excuse for no SP), really bad setups (L7 in particular), bad showoff contestants (Side especially), bad showcases, bad Drew, and a particularly pointless guest. They should know all of this is bad by now, especially on Christmas week. Pocket Change was the one and only thing redeeming this show, so go on CBS.com and watch that and delete the rest from your DVR.

Timings:
Lucky $even (4.5) - 3:56
Grand Game (5) - 4:40
Side By Side (3.5) - 3:01
One Wrong Price (3.5) - 4:01
Pocket Change (5) - 5:09
Range Game (4) - 3:10
Total (25.5): 23:57

I honestly have no words for this sorry excuse of a Christmas episode.
