So, you're sure its $23000? There was debate over $23000 or $23504.

Yaa I heard him say $23,000 only. He sounded like he didn't care about the rest of the price. We will have to wait for whinbaby to confirm the prices.

Anyway, bad show today. Nothing went right today. Stack the Deck was a complete failure. Who picks the 1st digit?

The only good thing about today's show was the freeze frame win and why the hell did mike richards put a car game in the 4th pricing game again? He must be insane to do that. Double Prices shouldn't have been lost today because that bed plus maid service couldn't have been over 12 grand.

Just freeze-framed it on my DVR and the card clearly says $23,504.
They can be close at the top, too.

=/

Lacking liineup + usual crap (Stack) +  lacking contestants + bad Drew (SC2 reveal) = little to enjoy. About the only time I got interested was when $5000 was hit.

Was there a backup stagehand in Freeze?

The car game playings were somewhat notable:
-I felt like Cindy was way too nervous for her own good, her choices were way over the place. I don't know how you end the game without getting 7 up there.
-Magdalane was actually a decent player confronted with usual Stack crap. However, she really didn't seem to think of the value of a free digit, and corrected herself too late. Also, when we do we get a car game 4th, I certainly don't want to go through the motions on a Stack playing, that was a killer.

Can someone tell me why the audience thinks a Ashley furniture is expensive? The Maids already made the package insanely high at 10.5k. Then, Joseph listened to his pal again on a near-WOTC on snowmobiles of all things. Pretty poor gameplay all-around today....
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Freeze Frame: Uhh...is the board on a mind of its own? The price wasn't supposed to be revealed  when Drew says either "Flip it!" or "Is he right!?. Those are the two magic words Drew must say to the board to reveal the price. Brian pulled the lever and the board revealed by itself. Did Mikey innavertley used the "reveal price" function after a contestant pulled the lever.

Any #: Horrible playing

Stack the Deck: Terrible setup!

Well, it was nice to see a decent amount won in Punch A Bunch.

I would like to think someone spoke with Drew about mumbling his way through the ARP of Showcase 2. He must say the price clearly, and not mumble it because he's disappointed the contestant was over (which I'm assuming is the reason.)
2nd place, 2011 CSS playoffs.     QSW, 3/27/17, 1/15/18. Exacta, 5/14/21.

Today show was okay i don't like it when the Contestants scream it's so annoying.
A Big Rich Fields Drew Carey And Jeff Davis Fan For Ever From Kirsten

Rich Fields Thanks Kirsten. I pick out and supply all of my own clothing. That light gray suit is hard to pair with shirts and ties... but I think the lavender shirt and purple patterned tie pulled it all together.

My Favorite Announcers On The Price Is Right Are Johnny Olson Rod Roddy Rich Fields Jeff Davis.

I Met And Took Two Pictures With Jeff Davis On May 24, 2012 He Is So Nice And Kind In Person.

Rich Fields said this about Drew Carey will always be the first to defend Drew (Carey). He's one of the most genuine, down to earth people in Hollywood that I've ever met. He was the first to come to me and tell me that the show was going in a different direction. He assured me it was not his decision to let me go and I believe him. No one else was open and honest about it, but Drew was. We've continued working together on different projects and we stay in regular touch. We'll be good friends well into the future.

Who picks the first digit to get for free in Stack-the-Deck??? At least she thought about it, but it was too late to change it. And I really enjoyed seeing a big (ish) win on Punch a Bunch, although the way Drew led up to the moment of revealing the card's value, I really thought it would be the $25,000.

Also, I was hoping Drew would mention THE Yolanda incident with the contestant named Yolanda.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

It sounded like Drew (working on his "it's got a 3" idea) was trying to emphasize 23 versus 33. So then he mumbled his way through the rest of the price as an afterthought. I agree he shouldn't do that. He could've just put a bit of emphasis on the "3" but read the whole price distinctly.

On Stack the Deck, using the stacked pick on the back end of the price is a more straightforward strategy. But if she wanted to pick from the front, it would be better to go for the second digit rather than the first. As we see, picking the first digit still leaves uncertainty about the second. But if you nail down the second digit, that will leave only one plausible number for the first digit.

Loved seeing my favorite model in character for Showcase #1.  :-D

The show today...feh. Drew needs to actually read the Showcase prices; if he wants, he can do the "pity tone" Barker sometimes used.

Being a new one here, would someone care to share a Reader's Digest version of THE Yolanda Incident(PM fine)? Thanks!
September 14, 1977. Yolanda, the fourth second called down, was wearing a tube top which fell enough to expose her...yes, well... Barker, knowing none of this, walked out and immediately assumed all the applause was for him. (He was notified after the first segment.)

Also that day was the debut of Secret X, which went about as badly as a debut could go -- free X on the left-center, no others won, and the titular X not being in the center (meaning no chance of winning at all).

(Edited to fix as per below comment; admittedly, I was going by memory.)

The above is my opinion and mine alone.

To answer your questions: yes, I am a guy and yes, I have a face. (I also have the occasional spurt of weirdness.)
