OBIT - Ian Turpie

News has just come through that Aussie Price's legendary host Ian Turpie and lost his battle with cancer today. Very sad news :(

I knew he was sick, I just didn't know how sick he was.  :-(

RIP Ian Turpie. No matter what people on this site (or any other site) say, you were truly one of the greats.

(And that article claims that he was the one to shout "Come On Down" in the 80's. That title actually goes to both  John Deeks and Gavin Wood.)

We've lost probably one of the warmest Price hosts possible, should be born in mind he did other shows in addition (Supermarket Sweep and Press Your Luck included) with the same warmth and enthusiasm he had on Price. We'll miss you over the pond Turps.

ian turpie will be missed.  a true legend in australian television history.

Such sad news i agree hes one of the greatest Australian Game Show hosts ever. I remember watching a interview of him and he looked really sick

He was a great host in my homeland.
