Well, at least we got wins in two games that have had a hard time getting wins this season.

It's nice to see Pick-a-Number actually set up for a win for once.

Swap Meet was just a nice streak-breaker.

Bad luck in Punchy, though. Stack was a better playing than most, considering she didn't fall for the trap 5 ending. Saudia fell for the 40 trap in Money Game, though.

And that was a cheap trailer-like thingy in Push Over.

I oftentimes joke in Showcase rounds that the players should have switched their bids, as one usually underbids one showcase with loaded trips or expensive boats, while the other overbids on a car showcase. This time was no exception, and switching their bids would have produced much better results. (Alas, contestants never quite realize that the Mustang coupe (and its cousin, the Camaro coupe) isn't that expensive...)

So Bryce goes from 420ing his opening bid to Tebowing when he gets on stage - that's just wrong .

And, fittingly enough(?), take a look at that Spain trip's price, and read it backwards...
So this is the "get off of my lawn" stage of my life.  I'm not impressed.

$ Game: Looks like the Front/Back setup got Saudia.

Punchy: At least William didn't stop at the $250 slip.

PaN: Nice to see this game being won.

Swap Meet: See above.

Stack the Deck: Painful doesn't begin to describe this loss.

Pushy: Even I wouldn't have stopped at $5980.

What was with Drew yesterday?  He wasn't all that excited at all.

I watched the show with some Joe Plinkos, and here were some of their observations:

1. They did not realize that contestants do win money in Money Game until I told them.

2. They think a cash equivalent should be offered as an alternative for every prize, especially if it is impractical in some way.  I responded with "Okay, then why offer the prize at all?  The manufacturer of the prize provides it to the show for advertising."

3. They played Swap Meet very well.

One thing I noticed was, after Pick-a-Number was won, Drew said "He's going to Spain!" three times.  I mean, there are other things to say besides the same thing three times when celebrating a win.  Also, why Drew continues to not mention the money in Money Game astounds me; if he's all about consoling contestants, he could say, "But you won $227 and your one-bid.  George, another contestant please!"
"Cherish the past, accept the present, and anticipate the future.  They are listening to feedback wherever feasible, but they can't repeat the past."

Money Game - It's the old Front-and Back Trick, with a zero in the middle!
Punch a Bunch - That was an easy SP setup.  I was also surprised that William stopped at $500, especially since Drew told him to look at the frequency chart twice.
Pick-a-Number - It should be Drew telling Bryce not to go near the numbers, not Amber.  This game is much more tolerable when the first number is missing.
SCSD #1 - Did anyone see William push Saudia out of the way when she lost?
Swap Meet - Nice win!
Stack the Deck - So close.  I wonder if Shannon would have won had she chosen the last digit as the free one.
SCs:
:frbs: - $32,100 (-$3,404)
Mustang - $25,100 (-$1,893)

I saw it. I thought it was funny at the time, but I can see how it could be considered rude as well.

Just watched Price for the first time in ages. Bryce and Amber were delightfully awkward throughout Pick a Number - it's the classic teen kid freezes up next to gorgeous TV model, then still manages to be funny in front of TV cameras, and hilarity ensues.

I thought I was going to enjoy a Drew that was happy on life and therefore ready to do work, but then he was just bouncy for all the wrong reasons. Seemed like he was in a rush to go somewhere or disoriented or, I don't know.

lol'd at:
*the dining room sorta not gelling with the crowd as a 'party' thing.
*the fact I 0/3'd Stack the Deck's grocery products. $8 is too damn much for frozen chicken, IMO.
*awkward lol'd at William's shove-out when he took the SCSD lead. I think he tried to get a bit too cheeky, but hey, he was trying to create good TV comedy.
