One Away was played for The first time on the show tonight. Luke Jacobz (X-Factor host here in Autralia) was a special guest and played along with the contestant in Pick A Pair.

Larry made a reference to Sale of The Century (pressing the buzzers hard) with the 2 showcase playoff contestants when they were to make their first bids.

Larry also received a plaque for the milestone  of  1500 episodes over the 3 times he has hosted the show (1993-1998 then 2003-2005 and 2012-present). Video of this is on YouTube.com/thepriceisirightau. A reference to Bob Barker was in the video.

Is One Away the first set that isn't mostly white? Seems they've finally figured out minimalism isn't working.

Although why would they play THIS game? Surely the first digit is a gimme when they never offer anything more than about $1800!

Tonight all 3 pricing games were played for prizes greater than $2000. I think they might be getting the message that it was too cheap!

Switch? has debuted, for whatever that is worth. I see they still cannot be bothered to put names on props.

The above is my opinion and mine alone.

To answer your questions: yes, I am a guy and yes, I have a face. (I also have the occasional spurt of weirdness.)

Total HYO Winnings (so far): $317,249+!

Total CSS Winnings (so far): $57,361 and 737.82 points!

Saw that the showcase on tonight's episode is worth $40, 898. Including a European river cruise (most holidays so far in the showcase  have been to south Pacific countries like Vanuatu).

Unfortunately the showcase wasn't won tonight though. So they're getting higher still.

It's a bit of a cheat though, when you have a $20,000 car and a $16,000 two-week holiday. We still wound up with two prizes under $1000.

And why wouldn't they put it into a game? It's not like they need to adapt anything for five-digit prices, considering the choice of games they have.

Sexed up SCs suddenly? Are they getting desperate already?
S41... the season where the show jumped the shark.

The episode where I'm an audience member aired today. Very strange seeing yourself on TV.

Hopefully, if the show's popularity remains stable, more bigger prizes and showcases will come in next year.

First time  in Plinko tonight that I've seen Larry offer a contestant a  $5000 Plinko drop and she won that $5000.

First time in Plinko tonight that I've seen Larry offer a contestant a  $5000 Plinko drop and she won that $5000.

A lady tonight also won the $5000 on Plinko.   She got $250 and $100 with her first two chips, then Larry revealed the $5000 panel and she got to choose where to place it at the bottom of the board.   Strangely she chose to place it over one of the $250 spaces instead of one of the $0 spaces, but still managed to win the extra $5000.

It's kind of funny given the announced maximum payout is still 'up to $3000'.

FWIW, the other games were Hole In One and Safe Crackers.   Nearly had a totally perfect show (including the grocery items in Hole In One and small prizes in Plinko) but for two of the showcase prizes being around the wrong way.

Well, apparently a lot of people don't like this version of TPIR, as readers of Game Show Garbage (www.gameshowgarbage.com) voted it the "winner" of the 2012 Patrick Wayne Award for worst game moment of the season, beating out Who's Still Standing on NBC in the US by one vote.
Murk: We will bring you Bob Barker. We will bring you the limp and beaten body of Bob Barker.
Glory: It is not Bob Barker, you scabby morons! The key is new to this world, and Bob Barker is as old as grit.

Another new pricing game was played on tonight's show-Walk the Line.
