Sounds like it might be a (cheap) version of more or less, or golden road?

Here is a photo from the facebook page of the $5000 plinko chip drop last week.   Some great photos up on their facebook page; I might add a few more in this thread.

The safest guess is that it's the same Walk the Line that was played on the Pasquale version in the U.K., which wasn't directly based on any U.S. pricing game.

I see they are still very cheap and still cannot be bothered to put names on the game props.

(Why in all that is sane did they put the $5,000 on a $250 rather than the $1,000?)
The above is my opinion and mine alone.

To answer your questions: yes, I am a guy and yes, I have a face. (I also have the occasional spurt of weirdness.)

Total HYO Winnings (so far): $317,249+!

Total CSS Winnings (so far): $57,361 and 737.82 points!

Because they're going with a different look. The name is on three screens right behind them. Not saying I like it, but it's a different look.

I could see a contestant being spooked out of the middle for choosing a jackpot amount. Still, what a shoddy thing to do, glad it backfired.
S41... the season where the show jumped the shark.

Larry gave her the option of where to place it.  I know I wouldn't place it over the $1000 space if given the choice.

Another new pricing game was played on tonight's show-Walk the Line.

Uh-Oh, Someone stoled that Pricing Game from the UK Version with Joe Pasquale, i hope the US Version will get that game under the same name as well.

A couple of interesting photos from the facebook page....

Walk The Line:

Neat angle of Push Over in action:

An interesting One Away playing where less than $1000 is an option (and taken) on the board:

Edit: I just noticed that it seems the top $ sign was loaded upside down on the One Away board in this playing

A $42,500 showcase was just won tonight - the biggest showcase win so far.

I caught today's show, which was notable for a weird Squeeze Play set up, a memorable contestant and a surprise showcase win.

Squeeze Play was played for a year's supply of flowers (...) with a setup of 1 9 4 4 0 - so in effect the only options were $1940 or $1440 (which Larry made fun of, insisting that it 'mattered' which 4 she took out).  It was clearly 1440 (divided by 12 months = $120 per month) but she got it wrong.

Then we had a memorable contestant Helen who seemed very nervous and was all over the place before and during Hi Lo, hitting on Brodie and focusing more on her family than on Larry.  She even dropped a swear word by accident during the game which the show covered up with a Craig Ferguson effect, only with the TPIR logo over her mouth and losing horn over the word!   She lost Hi Lo but then 1-upped the Squeeze Play contestant in the tiebreaker IUFB (a rarity on our version) and then won the playoff.   I thought for sure she lost the showcase, as did she as she was already saying goodbye to Larry after the second item was revealed.   Yet somehow she managed to win and her family ran down and were just as crazy as she was.

Looking through the photos last week as well as catching recent episodes, I made the observation that the three "small prize" games (Secret X, Cliff Hangers and Plinko) are rotated almost without fail in that order so that each of those games shows up in every third taping, as well as (I believe) every third aired episode even though they have shuffled the order in which the episodes are aired.  So Secret X was on Tuesday's show, Cliff Hangers on Wednesday and Plinko can be expected tonight.   Then it will repeat.   It is interesting that the first aired Hole In One playing used small prizes before reverting to 'variety/grocery' items.

They could really do with a few more 'small prize' games.   Given the preference for games without any/many electronics, I'd suggest that some of Shell Game, Switcheroo, 5 Price Tags, Master Key and Punch A Bunch could be added to provide a bit more variety.  The pricing part of "Rat Race" could be adapted to suit Let Em Roll as another option (Let Em Roll's pricing portion is now used on "Walk The Line").

Hovering just below 300,000. It's currently the lowest rated primetime show on a commercial network.

5pm isn't exactly 'prime time' (prime time is considered 6pm-midnight for the sake of ratings).

I think the show is serving its purpose for Channel 7.   It provides an extra vehicle for Larry Emdur at the network, is quite clearly branded programming thanks to Big W and provides an okay lead in to Deal or No Deal.

I don't want to repeat myself but I think the lack of variety in pricing games is hurting the show.  The shows aired today and yesterday both aired Plinko and Pushover.   In my opinion, the best changes in the show compared to the old Channel 9 version are the removal of contestant's row and that the showcases are a lot easier to win.

Hello, my name is Ben Roderick.
I am a loyal The Price is Right fan and I'm from Australia.
Now, I've heard a lot of people from Australia say the new Price is Right is "sucked" and "different". Well, I think the show is good because of the great wins and comedic humor. But I think in season 2013, The Price is Right will get good and it will features a lot of new prizes and new pricing games, I wonder Larry and the staff of The Price is Right knows about the Price is Right viewer hating so I just saying they are trying their best and has changed their cash and prizes because the network is Channel 7 they need to have other by the staff.
Well, that's my response to the viewer hating of The Price is Right, thank you.
