Feels like September all over again. Red Sox squander a 12-10 lead by allowing 3 runs to the Tigers in the eleventh.

When was the last time the Yankees started 0-3 and the Mets started 3-0?
Everyone had the Mets to be an also-ran in the NL East. Looks like Atlanta (0-3) is starting out that way.

Roger, when was the last time the Yankees started 0-3 and the Mets started 3-0?

If you can believe it, twice; most recently in 1985. It also happened in 1973.

Yankees and Red Sox pick up their first wins of the season.

The Mets are 4-0? Either they caught the 2011 Detroit Lions virus or we are living in the twilight zone  :P

The Red Sox blow a 9-0 lead as the Yankees turn the game upside down with a 15-9 victory.

On his 60th birthday, manager Ron Washington is ejected for arguing balls and strikes as the Rangers lose their first series to the Rays.

Since starting the season 0-4, Atlanta has gone on a 14-4 run. They are now tied for first in the NL East with Washington.

On his 60th birthday, manager Ron Washington is ejected for arguing balls and strikes as the Rangers lose their first series to the Rays.

That was hillarious. Never seen Ron Washington get that angry before. Joe Maddon probably went nuts during the Bottom of the 9th. Was an interesting that a thunderstorm came in.

New York Yankees finally put Freddie Garcia out of his misery in 5th in starting lineup, replacing him with David Phelps. I'm guessing that means Phil Hughes is next on watch for Pettite's return in May or June. Hughes is good in the 'pen anyway. I honestly would prefer Boone Logan replacing Garcia, but that's me.

New York Mets, Andres Torres comes back today and Kirk Neuwenhuis (or however you spell it) is being moved to left field in Jason Bay's spot. Torres is also taking his spot in #1 of the batting order back. I personally think KN earned it, he's got quite the batting power. Thoughts?

Looks like we've seen the last of Mariano Rivera this season; the record-setting Yankees closer tore his ACL last night while shagging fly balls in practice. I know for sure a lot of opposing batters are celebrating the fact that they'll never have to face him in the ninth again.

Rivera may be done career-wise as well. He'd been hinting this season would be his last.
