« on: April 16, 2012, 05:00:20 PM »

Today's show was just plain awful. Not a single pricing game won nor setup to be won today. All the games were setup to be lost.  our 6th skunking for the season.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

Really crappy way for it to end, Kitch. I mean.... SUBWAY? No easy setups? Really short SCs despite an average lineup? Another random Olympic guest that adds nothing?

The trainwreck streak is getting alarming.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

To me, I didn't think FF was tough, but the opposite can be said for both car games today. I thought the last number in the L7 price would be 2. More proof that Mike usually doesn't set up episodes correctly. I would've offered the base Chrysler in L7, then the KIA Forte in LEU.

And this was a TECHNICAL SKUNKING in my book (second of that kind this season), not an outright one.

Thanks for doing a good job Kitch, I wish this would have been a better show for you to finish with.

McKell played Race Game like she had 45 minutes instead of seconds.
2nd place, 2011 CSS playoffs.     QSW, 3/27/17, 1/15/18. Exacta, 5/14/21.

Best wishes, Kitch. You've done a great job for, funnily enough, exactly two years now (first recap: 4/13/10, last: 4/13/12!) And thanks to Seth for stepping in!

Bad show is bad. Not much was really set up to be won today and luck was not going the right way either in 1/2 Off and Let 'em Roll. And Lucky $even was just ridiculous as well. I've seen worse winless shows, but this is definitely one you can skip over. Unless you're longing for a new TPIR episode that doesn't have Plinko - nah, still wait until tomorrow.

Oh, and that has to be one of the most ridiculously useless guest appearances they've ever had. Nastia was just sitting there in the living room in Freeze Frame and contributed absolutely nothing to the presentation. That's not exactly her fault but if they don't have any reason to use her, they should have limited to the showcase. And as if that wasn't awkward enough, we have random Subway $5 footlongs thrown into the prize package in Freeze Frame. I understand they have to get sponsors somehow, and I'm not opposed to that, but that type of prize should really be in a fee game or maybe in a showcase, not in a game that's supposed to be played for one prize. And the showcases could have used some extra prizes today too - there is no excuse ever to have BOTH have two prizes in them. Sheer laziness.

Timings:
Freeze Frame (4) - 3:41
1/2 Off (5.5) - 5:46
Lucky $even (4.5) - 3:50
Squeeze Play (3.5) - 2:49
Race Game (5) - 4:55
Let 'em Roll (5.5) - 4:55
Total (28): 24:56

Thanks for everything, Kitch! I wish you well in your future....................Even though your leaving is somewhat bittersweet considering today's show:

Nothing was good IMHO............All six games were lost, but I don't just blame Mike..........but the Olympic guest Nastia Liukin as well. Seems to me she was a deer in the headlights when she was guest modeling on Race Game and Freeze Frame. Perhaps she should just stick to what she know...........

Overall, another day, another way for Mike to give contestants and fans a giant middle finger..................And all of this happened on my birthday today, which sucks. If the rest of the week is gonna be anything like last week's Plinko-Gate, we should brace ourselves for another disaster. Then again, ironically, today's LMAD was a 1000X better than this. Crappy show today.

Actually I was 4/6 personally. Squeeze Play was easy for us (we had the CRF-100F last week), and Race Game was easy over all. Had that one in two moves tops.

Kind of a blah show today. That's really all I can say about it today.

Kitch, I wish the best of luck to you in all of your future endeavors. Your recaps were simply brilliant, and will be missed.

After last week's fustercluck, I have to say "thank God for SP games not called Plinko".

Lucky $even was its usual evil self.  Back-to-back 1 and 9 at the end = forced loss.

For the love of God, we do not need two 2-prize showcases on one show.

My showcase bids:
:frbs: --$25,107
Jeep--$25,107

Winless show and two 2-prize showcases... a terrible episode that will be remembered only by virtue of the fact that it was Kitch's final recap.  I hate to see you go, Kitch, but thank you for your services the last two years.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Kitch, it sucks to see you go, but hey life has to be calling everyone at some point.

This show was abysmal, but I did like our Lucky $even contestant. She seemed confident it seemed, and luck almost went her way too.
