Skunked beyond recognition! Mike was obviously desperate after the Cover Up and That's Too Much wins from last week, so it didn't take a genius to know that he was gonna pull out PTR. I really thought Kevin had it that time, but I guess I spoke too soon. After that, it was one set-up too many thanks to Mike.

Also, there were three models today........so why is George modeling a guitar? There was no need for that and Rachel, Gwen, or Manuela should've model that instead.

Overall, a crappy start of the week and a crappy end of the month.................

I'm so sorry that we really did get SKUNKED today. Quite a few players were so close to winning their games, especially Kevin- he played Pay the Rent very well. At least he won the top car of the day in the Showcase (Ford Fusion S) & $1K off The Big Wheel.

I would like for Drew to mention skunks right afterwards by saying they happen every once in a while like DOBs & console everybody by saying somebody could win $26K on The Big Wheel &/or win a huge Showcase. That way, it'll make the shows a little more enjoyable, IMHO.

Maybe people are finally figuring out PTR. Kevin played it well, only underestimating the Alka-Seltzer (as did I) ;)

Still a poor show overall, as skunkings usually are.
2nd place, 2011 CSS playoffs.     QSW, 3/27/17, 1/15/18. Exacta, 5/14/21.

Welcome vader! I suppose it's only fitting that your first officially recapped game was Pay the Rent. But it's unfortunate you started with a skunk....

I mean, really. Why are we not even trying to make Pay The Rent lineups good anymore? Surely, we could have fit more than Money, Any and quickies in today. And for that matter, nothing was too terribly difficult today except from Rent, but nothing was that easy either - hardly surprising we ended up skunked. No matter how good some weeks might be, whatever the next Rent show is always brings us back to earth. Definitely one to skip over for sure, sadly.

Oh, and what's with this new trend of having deceptive items in the Rent safe? The Alka-Seltzr was there for one reason only today. Not only did Mike not want 100k won, he wanted to give away $0. Whatever people falsely put in the 2nd floor, they would probably think the Alka-Seltzer is more (thinking it's $5 or $6, or even $8, by the way it looks is not an unreasonable assumption) and get zapped. Why does this game even exist?

Timings:
Pay The Rent (7) - 6:51
Push Over (4) - 3:18
Money Game (4.5) - 4:44
Most Expensive (3.5) - 3:35
Range Game (4) - 3:41
Any Number (5) - 4:29
Total (28): 26:25

SO...

If Rent is going to be wasted every 5 Mondays when Mike doesn't even want a bailout there, along with the lineup basically repeating itself from #5901, doesn't it sound like Mike is thinking of retiring Rent at the end of this season? They know it more often than not produces a bad show, so they're hiding it.

The above is probably wishful thinking, but I do find it weird it's been on 3 straight Mondays, I really do.

EDIT: Guys... if Kevin had played Rent the worst possible (least to most), the 2nd floor total would have been 5.28. He did not play the game well, or rather, it was impossible to make an obvious bail situation.

Probably just a coincidence...................Plus, I was surprised that El Cheapo wasn't used to win Money Game.

4.22
2.09 + 1.99 = 4.08
2.29 + 1.49 = 3.78
2.99 (2nd most expensive)

Is this the first PtR playing where the second most expensive item should have gone on the bottom?

^No, but it's the first in a long, long time, because the cheapest was not <1.00. Also, second and third cheapest is usually on the first floor, not the second.

Rent is just a scary game for a LFAT to play hypothetically, because even if you can order the GPs least to most expensive correctly and know the mailbox must be on the higher end, there's four combinations of items (second or third most expensive in mailbox, second and third cheapest always together but could be on either floor) that are plausible.

I recorded this episode on my DVR because I have college finals this week starting today. Looking at the recap, I am most likely going to go home and remove this episode from my DVR.

One thing I was wondering, if someone could say, but how was Drew's hosting, personality, etc. today? Was he anything like he was last week?
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

What a horrible crappy show to start the week and end the month. Now we're officially tied with the same amount of skunked shows as season 36. Mike set every single game for a loss today thus forcing a skunked show. Totally not a good way to end the month.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

What a horrible start to the week, IMHO.  No matter how many times I see it, I'll never understand how that Alka-Seltzer Plus Allergy is only $4.22.

I will declare Range Game a technical win because Erin's choice was close enough.

I will declare LukeStenftenagel's post a technical loss because he's back.
