Boy, this was a refreshing show after the last few weeks.  It's always nice to see an episode where Drew is clearly giving a damn.  He even made Pay the Rent palatable today, explaining it properly and really building up the attic.  I wish he could be like this all the time.

I recorded this episode on my DVR because I have college finals this week starting today. Looking at the recap, I am most likely going to go home and remove this episode from my DVR.

God, I hate it when people judge an episode entirely by the win/loss record.

Sorry to be off-topic about this episode, but next Monday I will be taking a break from this board. I will be on a campout and won't be able to post anything due to lack of Internet service there. I will return on Wednesday.

I assure you that every person on this board wishes you would be gone longer than two days.

A bit harsh eh?

Given who he's responding to?  No.

Kevin didn't win Pay the Rent, but at least he had the right idea on how to play the game.  We all knew that the Alka-Seltzer was only $4.22, but Joe Plinko doesn't.  A second-floor total of $5.08 was a disaster waiting to happen, as Joe Plinko would say, "Of course allergy medicine is more than $5.08!  I'm going for the $100K!"

For only the second time ever, I got the $100K.  I think I'm finally getting the hang of this game... or at least the products.  With Cover Up finally getting a win last week (read:  week of April 9), there may actually be hope for Rent.  Maybe not this season, but maybe next season.  That is, if Rent is still around next season.

*sigh*... Chrysler 200s are not $34,000!  And somebody pick El Cheapo, dammit!  Wait... Mike actually did something Roger would do and not put the back of the car behind El Cheapo one time?

I'm not even gonna dignify the case of lollielalia a few posts back.

My showcase bids:
Car--$31,507
:frbs: --$29,507
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

God, I hate it when people judge an episode entirely by the win/loss record.

I do not want to get into a back and forth with anyone on here - the only thing I will say is that I not only looked / look at the win / loss record, but I also look at the pricing game lineup for the day.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

I will say that I'm often surprised when you go against the grain on a show solely because of how Drew did.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Way to completely and utterly miss the point.

That's more important than the win/loss record in some ways.  There were a lot of low-win shows in the first 35 years that were good because of Barker, too.

I'm just saying, we all look for different things, so there's no reason to criticize what another looks for.

I've been critical of people who judge episodes based solely on the win/loss record for the entire 12 years I've been posting.  That's not going to change any time soon.
