Oof...

...Again, Switch for LESS THAN 3K OF STUFF WHAT THE HECK (not that this is bad, but this is just... wow in the Mike era) ... and it's fairly difficult. Makes no sense.

Rat (kinda tough setup and bad player) and Step (way too difficult a setup, please just let the players play this game) definitely killed this one. Even if they were played well, them 3-4 made for an awkward lineup.

I still have no clue what that skateboard rabbi thing was about. I assumed he was joking about his unemployment, then Drew joked about it while not explaining anything further.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

That spinning bicycle definitely had some fancy electronics in it.

S?: Bizarre playing because of the cheapness of the prizes, but at least it was won thanks to going on gut instinct.

Flip-Flop: Meant to be won, but wasn't.

Rat: I'm not sure if Mike wanted this won anyway, but at least vadernader's relieved not to have to go searching for the ARPs of those featured prizes.

SU: I knew Joshua A. was toast when he chose the shuffleboard table second.

PaP: Almost had the second loss in a row in this game after a long winning streak.

TTM: Considering Stephanie was honest she didn't know how to price trucks, she played this quite well. Too bad she just missed because the jump between the second & third prices was a little big too big.

SCSD #2: First Bonus Spin win of any kind since mid-February!

Showcases: Bess became the third-highest winner on the show to date in 2012 w/ an all-around good game- nice!

Not quite as good as yesterday's episode, but still OK.

Having the contestants wear microphones was particularly distracting today.  I was happy for Bess and I was happy that she was enthusiastic.  But I didn't need to hear her shrill shrieks so loudly, so clearly, or for so long today.  It was irritating, and I actually felt bad for her because they did this to her.  Even during the closing credits, it just came across as odd.

Again, I'm not blaming her, I enjoyed her as a contestant and was happy for her outcome today.  But decisions that the production crew is making should not detract from that.

The contestant playing Rat Race should have gotten, in my thinking, two rats at least. The cheese snacks and the egg boiler were pretty easy prices to guess in my opinion.

I also thought that they left too much of Bess's screaming in. It is kind of annoying in the first place when they are screaming, but to have like a minute straight of screaming. That's too much!
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

A Big Rich Fields Drew Carey And Jeff Davis Fan For Ever From Kirsten

Rich Fields Thanks Kirsten. I pick out and supply all of my own clothing. That light gray suit is hard to pair with shirts and ties... but I think the lavender shirt and purple patterned tie pulled it all together.

My Favorite Announcers On The Price Is Right Are Johnny Olson Rod Roddy Rich Fields Jeff Davis.

I Met And Took Two Pictures With Jeff Davis On May 24, 2012 He Is So Nice And Kind In Person.

Rich Fields said this about Drew Carey will always be the first to defend Drew (Carey). He's one of the most genuine, down to earth people in Hollywood that I've ever met. He was the first to come to me and tell me that the show was going in a different direction. He assured me it was not his decision to let me go and I believe him. No one else was open and honest about it, but Drew was. We've continued working together on different projects and we stay in regular touch. We'll be good friends well into the future.

I don't post often in the recaps, but I have to say that today's show pretty much demonstrated everything that is wrong with the show these days.

- Both Joshuas in contestant's row were quite annoying.  It's one thing to look for and "cast" colorful contestants.  It's another to find people who clearly have no real intention of being part of the game.  $1 for the first bid....really rabbi?
- Is it even worth trying to explain how agonizing dumb it is to guess $120 for the last prize in Rat Race?  I predict that the pricing aspect of this game will become True/False for next year.
- A prize worth $800 was offered in Swtich?  Just how bad is that budget Mikey?
- Has any contestant ever been truly excited by the Flowers/Maids/Groceries/Mani Pedis prize combos?
- Take note...the first new car offered today was not until Pricing Game #6.  That's just weird and uninspired.
- A trip to India and a boat.

Today show was okay i don't like it when the contestants scream it gets so annoying.

yep.

Today was just one of those days that illustrated everything that's wrong with the current direction of the show, particularly the contestant selection process. Unfortunately, when contestants are miked, and you make a bad contestant selection, the consequences are a lot more widespread than they would be otherwise. And Drew just eats it up, sigh. I have faith that Stan will be back on top of things tomorrow, though.

And after a day of fair setups yesterday, why was everything either plainly hard or super easy today? There is no reason to make Step hard. And you may as well offer $13,000 cars in Rat and set them up to be won rather than offer restored cars that you can't afford because you don't even have to say the value of the prize!

Timings:
Switch? (3.5) - 3:20
Flip Flop (3.5) - 4:09
Rat Race (6) - 5:08
Step Up (5.5) - 4:07
Pick A Pair (4.5) - 4:56
That's Too Much (5) - 3:19
Total (28): 24:59

Switch?, Pick A Pair:  Nice wins! :-)
Rat Race, Step Up:  Horribly played! :-(
SCSD#2:  It was nice to see Bess win $10,000 on her Bonus Spin, and yet at the same time I'm a little bummed because of how close she came to winning $25,000.

An "ehhhh" show overall, IMHO.

Nice Switch? win. I thought it was fairly reasonable. I like the cheapo prize packages recently. Takes the ease off the trip overload we had a few months back.

Really audience, really? $3,000 for a trip across the country? Come on now. Yall know better than that.

Even my parents knew that $120 was not a good guess in Rat Race and they don't watch the show regularly. Oh well.

Step Up....let's just move on. Reasonable to underprice the shoes and overvalue the shuffleboard table. :-(

Glad to see Pick-A-Pair is back to it's winning ways.  :-D

Same old That's Too Much. Aw. I kind of liked the double reveal from Rachel and Daniel.

Man, if this episode hasn't solidified Daniel's role as part-time model, I don't know what can.

Hi completely ludicrous showcases.

EDIT: Is there really absolutely no time at all this week for CNAOS? Or has the show said it is pointless now?

If Mike can get away with more losses, no change "needs" to be made. Besides, it hasn't been that bad this season (although that item has often been 1xx to force a right SP).
