Bah... well, better hope all three 2-prize quickies show up this week. Switch and ORP done as soon as possible do make me think there's a good chance of that, but honestly why aren't one of these games on a break yet?
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Your COVER-UP guide is wrong along the "1's" line.  NO 4 posted, just a repeated "1".

Won 1RP (probably the only one in Studio 33 that would have), and called off GRAND following  the pineapple, chopped onion, and gloves, in that order.

^You were at this taping? Bummer if so.

These types of shows remind me although I got a really generic lineup, I was lucky to see a car win and a very rare casher (Bag) win in this era.

The setup in cover up was just so mean even the one number at a time/elevator strategy wouldn't have worked.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

Octavia's mistake was listening to the peanut gallery on Cover Up.................They really wanted her picked 8 as the missing 4th number, but I knew that it was 1. The audience should be ashamed of themselves for making her do that.

Grand Game was brutal, mainly because of the $3.00 target price...........But hot dog buns being $3.49?! Also, syrup for $3.89?! I like to know where Mike and Adam do their grocery shopping, because there's no way in Hell that buns and syrup are worth that much.

Tough break for Lauren on Pocket Change..............but she did won her showcase.

ME and Cliffy were won respectively, but another cruel 2/6 show...............Obviously, Mike was too pissed off from yesterday.

The definition of an average show. Not entirely a downer, because Drew is on point this week, but everything went about as it was supposed to go today. These type of days help make the gems like yesterday stand out more.

Oh, and that's too hard on Grand today, Adam and Mike, with all those items bunched up like that. But you know that.

Timings:
Most Expensive (3.5) - 3:34
Cover Up (5) - 5:11
Grand Game (5) - 4:13
One Right Price (3.5) - 3:08
Pocket Change (5) - 5:57
Cliff Hangers (4.5) - 4:27

Yeah, the audience during Cover Up was chanting "Eight! Eight! Eight!..." weren't they? I also knew that once she picked the eight, there was no hope for her.

And $3.00 + hot dog buns??!!! We get ours for about 60˘ at the grocery store - and even though that's the store brand, even the name brands aren't that expensive here. I lost on that same item as the contestant on Grand Game.

Cliff Hangers was pretty easy today, in my opinion, and Wesam was a good contestant on that game.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Survey says... that's another Goodson-Todman show, Drew!

Well, it was only a matter of time before Mike would go back to putting 1 in the fourth column in Cover Up.  And the audience still hasn't gotten the clue.

Grand Game:  Freudian Edition.

I think I'm the only one here who won Grand Game today.  I knew immediately that the big bottle of syrup would be around $4.00.  And then it was a coin flip between the buns and the gloves.

Oh, come on, guys!  It's either two trips or no trips!  That's supposed to be the rule for 2-prize games!

My showcase bids:
:frbs: --$22,107
Motorcycles--$22,107
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Oh, come on, guys!  It's either two trips or no trips!  That's supposed to be the rule for 2-prize games!

Magic # and Barker's Bargain Bar were frequently played for a trip and another prize through Season 36 (of course, Barker's Bargain Bar was also played for two trips on occasion).

Does anyone know when they started having short contestants stand on platforms for the showcase?  I noticed it for the first time last week, but maybe they've done it for a while and I just hadn't noticed.

Cover Up was made more unwatchable by how the entire audience was chanting for the wrong number. What on earth possesses them to think they know so much about the tens digit of a car price?

Grand Game was evil. I knew the syrup was one of the trouble items just from seeing it so darn often, but I couldn't figure out the other between the gloves, body wash, and buns. Go figure they (and the syrup) were all right around the target price. I guess Mike doesn't want this game won any more than it already has been this season...

Also evil: 1 Right Price. Which was unusual how it was played for a trip and a non-trip prize. That also clued me in that there was no way it was going to end well; contestants are going to think trip = expensive and that was exactly what happened today.

Pocket Change was assorted bad luck.

At least Most Expensive and Cliff Hangers were easy enough.

To make Drew's comments on how "there were 8's all over this show" even more ironic, today is May 8th...  :P
