(If someone said something about this, and I missed it, my apologies)  I am shocked no one has commented on Drew mentioning the "money" in "Money Game" today.   8-O

Yep. Not only did he mention the money in Money Game, he brought it up after the first pick, and gave totals, including a final one at the end. It has been quite a while since he's even mentioned it at all. I wonder if he'll keep it up. (To Drew: Yes, that's why it's called Money Game.)

Gotta agree here: Pay The Rent seemed even more difficult to win today than it usually is. And that's saying something.

I missed the episode due to work, but it looks like it was yet another ho hum episode. Will they ever make Rent easy?

Not as long as the top price stays $100,000.

Seriously, Rent is the last game you need to put a setup on Doboids for. $9.99 for the bottom level gets lost 120 times out of 100.

Long time lurker, first time poster.  Does anyone know if the show goes out and recruits these so-called "Special Guests" or does CBS send them their way?  As another poster said, Rachel and Brendon didn't even win "The Amazing Race".  (Even if they did win, I don't think that would qualify someone to be on the show, but that is my opinion.) But they are best known from another CBS show "Big Brother" and then for the amateur "video" he did.  Plus they did some very, very bad acting cameos on "The Bold and the Beautiful" last year.

All that said, I would think TPIR would want the winners or the very capable host of "Amazing Race" to be on presenting the showcases, not the losers. Are the guestcases something CBS is dictating to them?

Sorry if this has been covered.  Today's guests really sent me over the edge, so I had to come out and say something.

It seems to be relatively easy to win $10K. That really isn't bad.

Relatively easy? How about so freaking easy that it makes every other cash game look bad for being so much harder to win the same amount?

Did I mention this is one of the big reasons why I hate Rent?

How long ago was this episode recorded?  If it was before the TAR finale, how did they keep the studio audience from revealing the identities of one of the finalist teams?  For that matter, wouldn't people in the audience who watch TAR complain that part of it was spoiled?

Never mind that - what punishment is the show going to get for violating one of the primary rules of TV:
Except for singing or talent shows, contestants on reality shows are to be referred to only as (name of show) (season identifier) (first name/nickname (e.g. "Boston Rob"), and possibly last initial if there were two contestants with the same name on that show at the same time)?  These people don't have last names any more!

It is... arrange the items from lowest to highest and you're guaranteed to win $10K every time. Generally speaking, that's pretty easy.

I don't know what to make of Pay the Rent today.  The setup was horrendous, but somehow, the least expensive item not looking like it was the least expensive item actually made it more watchable.

The guest showcase today wasn't particularly offensive, but it was no great shakes, either, and I feel like we probably missed some good moments (the first half was edited to shreds) in order to save up the extra two or three minutes they needed to fit it in.

Well, I missed this one live today, came home ready to watch it, and had friends tell me to avoid it which was unusual.

What were your friends smoking?  Drew made what by rights should have been a downer of an episode pretty enjoyable.

It's not easy for any contestant to stump on Drew.  But so far, Drew is getting to become more challenging, which is, of course, good!

I strongly suggest you restrict yourself to posting when you are sober.

Anything Drew did was counteracted by the sheer laziness of the lineup.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Hey folks, I know, long time no see.  I have been quiet for quite some time, just checking the boards every rare now and then when something interesting happens during the show.  I just had to pause my DVR and finally have to ask something.  WHY IS CBS IN LOVE WITH BRENDEN AND RACHEL??!  They were obnoxious to watch during Big Brother, just had to put up with them for an entire Amazing Race that just ended, and now they show up on sacred ground.  Enough is enough!  They truly are terrible people that just drain your energy when you are around them so they can survive.  I really do think I am going to hurl.  This may actually be one of the worst.episodes.ever.  I wish I could have the time lost of my life back on this one.  Ugh!  (CBS, what's next for them, going to put them on Survivor??)

Jack Wagner and Jenny McCarthy already soiled it long before, sir.
The above is my opinion and mine alone.

The way I see it, Rachel and Brenden are like Heidi and Spencer from The Hills...........At least that couple have enough sense to drop off of obscurity, which is something this new couple should do as well.
