Pyramid Question
« on: May 29, 2012, 07:09:35 AM »
Why didn't Bob Barker ever appear as a celebrity guest on the CBS version of the $25,000 Pyramid in the 80s? Pat Sajak appeared at that time on Password Plus and Super Password on NBC.

I can think of 2 possible answers:

1.  He wasn't offered to appear.
2.  He was offered but declined.

Bob only appeared on two other CBS Game Shows besides "TPiR"...

"Match Game" as a semi-regular panelist
"Family Feud" w/ Ray Combs: "TPiR" vs "Young and The Restless" in 1991 and again in 1993.

He also appeared as a panelist of John Davidson's version of "Hollywood Squares" back in 1987 w/ Dian and Janice, and that was the only non-CBS Game Show that Bob had appeared on.

He also appeared on Tattletales frequently with Dorothy Jo and once appeared on Steve Allen's version of I've Got a Secret.

Did he ever appear on any of the Password incarnations? I pretty sure he didn't.

Barker did appear on the Jack Barry-hosted Break the Bank in the 1970's.
"You have flunked Price is Right!'"-Bob Barker after he discovers a "loyal viewer" who never saw Clock Game, 4/18/00.

Bob Barker also appeared on the syndicated-1970's version of The Cross-Wits hosted by Jack Clark...and produced by Ralph Edwards!
