Pricing games on a future UK TPIR
« on: June 05, 2012, 11:49:20 PM »
Seeing as this particular forum is fairly quiet, I thought I'd post a list of the pricing games I'd like to see in a (hopefully not-too-distant!) future UK version of TPIR.    This list is based on my preferences, but largely on what I think would fit in with the British show as a re-incarnation of the style and the budget of the Bruce Forsyth version.

3 Strikes
Any Number
Bonkers
Bullseye '76 (Range to win £10-£11)  *
Cliffhanger
Danger Price
Five Price Tags
Flip Flop  *
Grand Game (Could played for a bonus prize with six products, after reaching £1000, the contestant have the option of quitting with the cash or going for the bonus prize)  *
Grocery Game (Range to win £10-£11)  *
Hi-Lo
It's In The Bag (Could played for a bonus prize instead cash)  *
Lucky Seven
Master Key
More Or Less  *
Plinko
Race Game
Rat Race  * (Played with groceries only to winning rats)
Safecracker
Secret "X"
Shell Game
Side By Side
Swap?
Switcheroo
Ten Chances
That's Too Much!  *

*  Denotes never played in the UK

The set could be like the French version, since that style is in fashion in new TPiR versions, like Australia, however, the showcase format could be the same as Bob Warman, Bruce Forsyth and Joe Pasquale versions.

Who would you get to host? I'd presume you'd get the Voiceover Man himself, Peter Dickson, to reprise the role of announcer, though.

They would probably go with Vernon Kay

I'm probably the only one that like the Pasquale version

As I can't modify the original message, I made an updated list of pricing games that would fit in a future UK TPiR using the Bruce's Price is Right budget.

3 Strikes
Any Number
Balance Game '06 *
Bonkers  *
Bullseye '76 (Range to win £10-£11)  *
Cliffhanger
Clock Game (Using the French TPiR showcase format with no prop with a 30 seconds timer.)
Danger Price
Easy as 1-2-3
Five Price Tags
Flip Flop  *
Freeze Frame *
Grand Game (Could played for a five prize package, instead cash with groceries, the contestant is given a target price, if he or she picks the three prizes below the price limit wins their prize, a mistake in any moment the game ends but keeps their prizes chosen, could be a fusion of the US Grand Game, Credit Card and More Or Less.)  *
Grocery Game (Range to win £10-£11)  *
Half & Half (Money Game in the US)
Hi-Lo
It's In The Bag (Could played for a bonus prize instead cash with 6 products and 5 bags, to win, the contestant must put correctly-priced each one of the five products in their respective bag.)  *
Joker
Let 'em Roll
Lucky 7
Master Key
Matchmaker (Crowhter original pricing game revival)
More Or Less  *
Permutation (Crowhter original pricing game revival)

Personally I'd just be happy if they repeated all of Leslie Crowther's episodes of The Price is Right from 1984 to 1988, you just can't improve on perfection! :)

How about why did you bump this thread that wasn't even anything more than random lists of games in the first place?
