Millionaire Game
« on: June 07, 2012, 05:06:31 PM »
Thanks to other forum members' success with "Wheel" and "Jeopardy" threads, I have decided to make a "Millionaire" thread. First one to get it right posts a question for others to answer, and so on. You ready?

This first question was worth $250,000:

Using an automated system called "Adworks", what unusual item was the first advertisement offered on Google?

A. Nose plugs
B. Live lobsters
C. Paint-by-number kits
D. Maternity jeans

Only know this because I watched the episode earlier, but it is B. Live lobsters. Final answer.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

This question, I just put together based on what I know (and it was on tonight's Jeopardy!, although worded differently and with a different correct response):

A dispute in 1859 known as the "Pig War" fought between the British and the U.S. for possession of what island in present-day Washington state?

A) Vashon Island
B) Fox Island
C) San Juan Islands
D) Bainbridge Island

Fairly certain that "DS" was a code name, so I will go with that.
Torgo has left the building. John and I never really cared for the way he presented himself.
