Today's show was somewhat pretty decent with 3 wins today especially when the first 2 games were won. The pathfinder win was a miracle that it happened. Gas money i woulda won along with 2 for 1 and make your move most expensive was easy. Freeze frame was won but i thought the price was 8998. We coulda had another perfect show today.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

This was one of those shows that had no right to be that good with its lineup, but excellent car game playings (despite Gas ultimately picking up a full L) really propped things up; Path seems to enjoy excellent final playings.

That said, 241 and Move were very jarring together... I guess they don't conflict, but they at least needed to be in different halves, the quickie 1-2 start really doesn't hold water when one of these would have been very interesting swapping out with one of them (for staging purposes, you can't have 241-ME, and Move-ME is a bit odd with no 1P... but what about Freeze-Move or Freeze-241? I like weird games 2nd occasionally like T2 on twins and H/L awhile back). It was also sad to see both end on losses... 241 was just unlucky (although with 7 as the fake last, 3rd digit probably wasn't the smartest but at least it wasn't 1st), and Move I think Mike got exactly what he wanted there.

I thought the 12-11 switcheroo might be for a double DOB, but it's really for another Olympic guest? That somehow feels worse.

I was a bit confused why Dimich got dismissed so soon, but it's like he went on vacation early these past few weeks. I guess Mike at least realizes there is a limit to editing. Path in particular, despite the playing, seemed like some decision-making was cut out.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Freeze & ME: Both fairly easy.

GM: Tough loss for Lora; $20,565 would've been my guess for the KIA Optima as well.

2 for the Price of 1: Another poor playing.

MYM: I would've won this one.

Pathfinder: I'm surprised Nicole had little trouble winning this! We sure got lucky on one of the car games today.

Showcases: Jessica gets the short end of the stick on a pretty close call w/ the differences.

Good show today.

Decent show today.............

THE BAD NEWS:

Gas Money: So close for Lora.................Yet here's something that irritates me: While I do love the models, I really don't like it when Drew calls Manuela or any model "the luckiest model ever". Even when he does call a model "lucky", it turned out to be "not-so-lucky". I really hate it when he does that.

2FTPO1: I knew it was $740.

MYM: Here's the correct order:

Grill Set: $90
BBQ:$649
Spa:$7562

Even though Harmik only got the grill set right, at least he won his showcase.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Freeze Frame: I thought it was a little tricky, but not for Michael!

ME: Too easy of a setup........Glad that Jessica picked the pool table!

Pathfinder: Nicole was the real highlight of today's show..............I love how she did the "Spinaroonie" (Booker T's signature break-dancing move) when she won the car!

Half and half show, but it sure was entertaining!

Wow, Drew's comment during the first one-bid about how they'd let Misty do "anything she wanted" pretty much summed up everything that's wrong with the show these days. It's way too guest-centric, and I'm glad they at least didn't let her run down the aisle. Her announcing wasn't too bad though...

At any rate, this show was actually a very good one, and it didn't really need Misty at all. When the car games are Gas Money and Pathfinder, these days, the show can be a dud very easily, but today we actually had the rare show where we got good playings out of both of those games. Gas Money was a pretty nasty setup today with a seldom-used Kia Optima loaded to the max to make it be $22,000. She actually played it well thinking it was $20,000 - that's about what they start at. That's one of many reasons why that game is so hard. Still, at least she made it to the last two. Then Pathfinder was just a textbook playing! Well, it had a little bit of tension at the end, remembering Matthew from season 38 and how he missed all 3 SPs when he only needed to get 1 right, but today we got the better end of that result and it really was a nice cap on the show. Mike lately has really been backing off on Pathfinder, relying on bunched up 2nd digit choices (which they were again today - 6, 7, 8 and 9) to make the game end early. Unfortunately for Mike, everybody knows that Fits are cheap - maybe he should have slipped a 5 in there. :)

Other than that, pretty average, although it was extremely weird to see 241 and MYM back to back. I would have slotted these games 241-Freeze-Gas Money-ME-Pathfinder-MYM. Still surprised at how well this June is going though.

Timings:
Freeze Frame (4) - 3:10
Most Expensive (3.5) - 3:48
Gas Money (5.5) - 4:47
2 For The Price Of 1 (4.5) - 3:45
Make Your Move (4.5) - 3:42
Pathfinder (6) - 5:30
Total time (28): 23:42

Freeze Frame, Most Expen$ive:  Nice wins! :-)
Pathfinder:  Would've been more exciting if Nicole would've gotten the last number on the first try, IMO, but still a great win.

Pretty good start to the week, IMHO.

Well... so much for my thought that all Kias are cheapos.

Why do so many contestants insist on making 2 for the Price of 1 so hard on themselves?

Pathfinder was awesome!  I thought we were gonna have our first perfect playing in over 5 years.  Then, after she whiffed on the cutting mats, I thought we were gonna have another painful Pathfinder loss.

My showcase bids:
Bond--$22,507
Car--$37,107
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Well, if nothing else, we got in another Pathfinder win this season! A record of 3-8 + 1 tech win is good for this game, especially with the new staff, and Nicole played that very well, cruising right through the first three choices and reasoning out that tomato press at the end. (The setup was also easier, thanks to an easier 2nd digit and the L-path reducing the choices for the fourth digit, though the SPs could have easily been trouble.)

Gas Money was also a good playing even though things didn't pan out at the end. (I figured it'd be the most expensive price considering the Optima was a "mid-size sedan" like the Accord, and of course, Mike's love of extremes in this game.)

241: the camcorders were pretty much identical, so the third digit should have been pretty clearly the 0, and the first digit was easy, so going for the second digit here would have pretty much guaranteed the win.

It's really cool that TPIR feels free to book Olympians. I'm glad they aren't following the corporate synergy playbook that would dictate they avoid the Olympics lest it redound to NBC's benefit. Misty did so much that the modeling work was really divided up.

Most Expensive was chapter #2341 in the continuing story of people who apparently don't watch the show much becoming contestants. She found out one she didn't pick was $1,744 and thought that was a really bad thing.

The Pathfinder player was unbelievably calm.
