L7: I thought for sure the price was going to be $18,794 instead because the cargo tray was included; as it turns out, that plug incorrectly added it. Either way, Karla would've lost.

Bargain: Electrolux washer/dryers are usually pretty expensive.

It's in the BAG: I knew the dressing was nowhere to be found in the bags because it was $3.79 (the last bagged product of the cider was $2.79).

SS: Wisely, Brooke stayed away from the TV.

Switcheroo: I wasn't sure Julie &/or her friends would go w/ the 1 for the car late in the playing, because they went w/ the 2 first before going w/ the 5 for their first try, but they made the best possible switch & we have our third & final win in this PG this season!

Double Prices: Easy.

Showcases: We come off a strong second half w/ two good bids!

Certainly an improvement from yesterday.

today wasnt too bad of a show the only winnable games today were shopping spree switcheroo double prices.  its in the bag could have been won.
Torgo has left the building. John and I never really cared for the way he presented himself.

I suppose a half & half as we've now definitely entered end-of-season mode will be taken gratefully, but boy was Roo plainly complete luck this time. Played completely the wrong way and I think she may have been going for 5 but really just didn't care to.

Bag on 1 week I guess Mike wanted $0, and admittedly the apple cider was in a nice bottle, but the nuts are just such pansies now (mostly right this season, but they've cost some 8k's too). But Spree on 1 week... I don't understand, Danger is now getting OVERdue, if you can believe it.

EDIT: The hell Bobby, you're constructing car prices now? I'm sure whatever $75 you think was missing is explainable... probably included in standard or something. Relax.

Today's show was better than yesterday's by 3 wins. Not only that the second half of the show was perfect to make up what happened in the first half.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

After the horror of yesterday's Take Your Kid To Work Day, today really was a improvement, despite a lame 1st half...........

THE BAD NEWS:

L7: Why didn't Karla pick 9 for the last number? Even I knew that was gonna happen. I also knew she was gonna get a $1.00 on the wheel. However, another tough break for her on her showcase, but at least she got $1000.

Balance Game: I was right about the washer and dryer being the bigger bargain.

THE NOT-SO-BAD NEWS:

IITB: Ayanne definitely thanked the peanut gallery for letting her stop at the Capzasin. A bailout is better than nothing.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Shopping Spree: Good thing Brooke didn't picked the TV! And she won her showcase, too!

Switcheroo: Thanks to Julie, it was the 3rd win from that game this season!

Double Prices: I didn't think that the Ireland trip wasn't worth that $15K.......so did Timothy.

A IITB bailout and all 3 wins in the 2nd half! Pretty good show today!

Drew's explanation of the second turn in Switcheroo today was much better than usual--it was actually clear that one could leave everything alone, change whatever, do whatever you want.  It didn't seem forced to change things if you weren't absolutely sure.  She still managed to not play it smart and fall bass-ackwards into the car, but that's fine.

I knew it was fork time in Bag when the sparkling cider went in the $5.59 bag.  I've seen that exact same cider at CVS for about $3.  (Costco has it for $6.49 for four bottles, for what it's worth.  And I have bought many a bottle of it at Costco for parties where booze would be a no-no but the sparkling cider is permissible.)

I think even last week's Bag wipeout contestant could have gotten $2000 today.  That setup last week was much more difficult than today's, at least for the first 2 or 3 bags.

I could see that 19 in Lucky $even coming from a mile away.

I knew the washer and dryer in Bargain Game were $3,000... but I thought that motorscooter would also be $3,000.

Bag was gonna get an easy $4,000 win, but that was it.  Seriously, only $2.79 for a bottle of sparkling apple cider?  For that price, I could just say "Screw this, I'm gonna stop pretending" and go right for a bottle of Charles Shaw instead.

Shopping Spree again?!

Good job by Brooke, though, on avoiding the TV trap in Spree.

Once again, we had a Switcheroo setup where none of the prizes looked like they were under $20, so the car was the only place the 1 could go.  I knew the knife sharpener was $53 because I've seen it on the show so many times, so I knew Julie had to get the 5 out of the car.  She spent almost half of her second turn debating with her companions in the audience whether to leave the 5 in the car or change it.  I was almost afraid that she would leave it.  Since the car and the knife sharpener were the only numbers she changed, I knew that her score would definitely be at least 2.  If a "3" came up (which it did), then we all knew that she won the car.  No need to drag it out, Drew!  Seriously!

My showcase bids:
Paris--$19,107
Car--$27,107
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Happy end of season budget mode to you too. That first showcase is the sorriest excuse for a showcase we've had in a long time. Still, this managed not to be too bad a show. All the distractions from yesterday were gone, which was nice, and we managed to get another surpris Switcheroo win! I'm really not sure how that happened - no one at all, either the audience or the contestant, seemed to know what was going on there. Still, sometimes although not often lately with those tricky setups, Roo wins happen.

It's clear that this week's entire lineups are being based on budget mode and nothing else. Otherwise, why would we see Shopping Spree and It's In The Bag 2 weeks in a row? Wasn't expecting to get another Roo playing in either - blah.

Timings:
Lucky $even (4.5) - 3:32
Bargain Game (3.5) - 3:15
It's In The Bag (6.5) - 5:46
Shopping Spree (4.5) - 4:04
Switcheroo (5.5) - 5:56
Double Prices (3) - 3:04
Total (27.5): 26:37

Lucky $even: Well, that was an... interesting choice for the last number. Might have been a good choice, too, if the game was not Lucky $even. (Or 10 Chances.)

Bargain Game: The scooter claims another victim.

是在包里: Easy up to $4K (though she nearly whiffed the OmegaRed; good thing the Peanut Gallery stopped her there). However, evil expensive food coloring struck again. Good thing she bailed before that. (Also, those bags look depressing without the lights...

Shopping Spree: Easy as long as you knew that small TVs like that are cheap.

Switcheroo: Well, that was a lucky win. Clearly, neither Julie nor the folks she was drawing help from had any idea how to play the game and were trying to somehow figure out the fourth digit of a car from scratch, but hey, a win's a win! Besides, that was probably going to be the only way anyone was going to get the price of the Knife Sharpener of Doom correct.

Double Prices: Well, that was much better of a second half.

SC1 was definitely weak, so I'm glad that was lost in favor of the much better SC2 thanks to a solid bid there.

Drew's explanation of the second turn in Switcheroo today was much better than usual--it was actually clear that one could leave everything alone, change whatever, do whatever you want. It didn't seem forced to change things if you weren't absolutely sure.
But that is not the rule. The rule is "You have two right. You can take your prizes right now, or we can give you another 30 seconds to make changes. What do you want to do?"
The above is my opinion and mine alone.

To answer your questions: yes, I am a guy and yes, I have a face. (I also have the occasional spurt of weirdness.)

Did anyone else catch that once the 3 showed up in Switcheroo, there was literally no possible way the game could have been lost?
