According to IMDb, as far as game shows go, Polito’s experience as a director amounts to directing early episodes of Minute to Win It. He has a multitude of other credits dating back to 2003 and they include TV awards shows, standup comedy specials for comedians like Jim Norton and Russell Brand, and music/variety specials for talents like Taylor Swift, Jimmy Buffett and Larry the Cable Guy. He’s done some work for some pretty big names, but his work in this specific genre so far is light. It’s always good to keep an open mind with these things. Some people held Rich DiPirro’s work on “dramatic” game shows against him, but he proved to be arguably the best director of the program in years.

I don't see DiPirro lightning striking twice.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

So, I didn't want to create a new thread for this because of spoilers, but here's a pic of the new doors. Forgive me if it's already been posted.

Yes, that looks familiar.

Now this pic is cool! Looks like the logos on the doors light up... and shows how the dollar signs are attached... neat!

The 4th-to-last one... that is probably a still from its most-lit up point and it's blurry, but the logo does not mesh well with silver light-ups if that's the case.

They were not so much images of the set as they were of the panel held AT the set.  The Big Wheel hasn't changed.  And yes, that one door shot was poor camera work.

Not at all, the focus of the camera was - as it should be - on the people, not the doors.

Exactly, but the glaring light behind it ruins the shot.

That wasn't what I meant.

Then what did you mean?

Do I really have to explain this?

The way the image of the logo in the middle of the shot detracts from the quality of the camera work, thus ruining the shot.  No, the door was not the focus, I know that.  However, one's eye is drawn to the blur where the light is so that the subjects of the shot are not the first thing one notices about the shot.

Photography students could take a better picture, basically.
