What did everybody get for Christmas?

I'm anxious to find out what everybody got for Christmas this year, so I'll start by saying what I got. I received the following gifts this Christmas:

A book (Sidney Crosby-A look inside the new NHL)

A pair of Leafs tickets (March 3rd, 2007 is the date. Buffalo is the opposition)
The Santa Clause 2 DVD
Christmas With the Simpsons DVD (sadly, I already own this, so I'll probably exchange it)
A pair of leather gloves
Toronto Maple Leafs boxer shorts
Deal or No Deal card game (my best gift this year)

A CELL PHONE!   I really needed one, because I'm on dial-up internet, DSL's too bloody expensive, and nobody can get a hold of me if they need me because I've always got the phone lines tied up.

It's a Motorola Cingular "Go" phone, one of those prepaid deals (came ready to go with $15 worth of calling/texting power).  I get unlimited calling to other Cingular customers, and for other calls, it's a dime a minute.

Marc, John, and the rest of the G-R mods......check your PM box soon.  You guys will have my number in case something goes nuts and you need to get a hold of me.  (I might give my number to a few other very trusted people as well.....only the ones I can trust that won't flood my phone with calls and make me run outta minutes.   )

I got several DVDs, some money, telephone, headphones, portable audio cassette player, a portable CD player, etc.

I'm on the few end of it, but I finally got my computer!  I no longer have to use Mom's to web surf.  And I got $50!  Not too shabby for a family who is very budget minded.

We had this thing called White Elephant, which is another term for "Chinese Christmas".  Here are the rules:

1.  Every adult in our family had to buy a gift for a guy, or a gal, that was within a $20 range without going over.

2.  Each adult would then draw a number (from 1-21).

3.  The one who draws number 1 would get the first choice of gift.

4.  Then, it proceeds in order.  For example, I drew #13, so I was the 13th person to open a gift.

5.  There's some other rules regarding "Swiping" and "Trading", but they're too complicated to be discussed at this time.


After all was said and done, I wound up with a one gigabyte flash drive, which is perfect for my computer down in Corpus Christi.  Right now, I just "fixed" my mother's computer and saved it from a major borkage!

Aw...that's too bad...it looked like the best DVD game yet.  I was really hoping it would be a winner.

Anyway...I didn't get much.

I'm disagreeing here. Tickets to see a game against the Slugs? That's the best gift right there.
