Wow, close Showcase results today.

A $900 pool table? I knew she was in trouble right then in Race Game.
2nd place, 2011 CSS playoffs.     QSW, 3/27/17, 1/15/18. Exacta, 5/14/21.

Episode #6082K

Go R.A. Dickey for win No. 21

Excuse me?

A $900 pool table? I knew she was in trouble right then in Race Game.

Yeah, but then again, most pool tables today range around $1000. Golden West tend to be higher end pool tables. However, a $4995 BluRay Home Theater Speaker System that looked that tiny? Yeah......

Today's show was decent, I rather enjoyed the showcases today, such close results, $9!!

Although the results were not there, this was decent alone since it was the first non-cash, MP lineup, along with reasonable SCs.

Race though in particular was played terribly.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Looks like Door #1 got a paint job some time between July and August of this year. In today's episode, Door #1 was painted a more brownish-orange, while in the premiere week last week, which was taped in August, the door was bright orange. Any guesses as to why the staff made the sudden change? I personally liked today's Door #1 better than the bright orange seen on premiere week.

Not too bad of an episode for a Tuesday; the $9 showcase difference definitely made for an exciting finish.

Today's show was ok with 2 wins. 5 Price Tags was evil so was race game and any number. Coming or Going coulda been won making a 3 for 6 but ah well.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

Once again, much like last week, bland as hell:

THE BAD NEWS:

5PT: That's just like David to pick the two expensive price tags.................Typical. $19,745 was obviously the reasonable price for that Chrysler.

Bargain Game: Somehow, I knew the motorbike was the bigger bargain than the steam shower.

THE NOT-SO-BAD NEWS:

Any Number: So, we got a guy that's named "Jewell"?  Well, at least some handbags are better than nothing.

Race Game: What was Erin thinking that a pool table would be worth $900?!!! At least she won a 3DTV.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Pushover: A good win for Rosie!

Grocery Game: Good thing that Thomas picked just one bag of Haribo Gummi Bears instead of two!

Being that was another "so-so" show, the Showcase bids were pretty close, when David won his by just $9. If you haven't noticed, Mary took at least 2 minutes to come up with her own bid. I think she go down as one of the few who took so long to make a bid.

5PT: Refreshing to see neither El Cheapo or El Expensivo be the right car price for once. Too bad it didn't help David at all; he probably needed to have swept the SPs.

Pushover: Pretty easy.

Race Game: Nice try; at least it wasn't a shutout.

Grocery Game: Well played!

Bargain: Steam showers aren't that expensive, folks.

Showcases: One of the closest Showcase difference battles ever!

Pretty good show today.

Wow. Race Game was not well-played today.

And man, was that a close bid between the two contestants. I think one of the bids Mary was thinking about was $21,000 something, which would've won her her showcase with a difference of somewhere around $1,000 (can't remember the showcase's price at the moment).

This video comes to mind (around 4:25):

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Nice wins on Push Over & Grocery Game! :-)  Race Game was played horribly, IMHO.

$9 difference in the showcase - how exciting!

Not too bad overall, IMHO.

My only complaint about the SC reveal is that the camera didn't show both podiums right away as soon as Drew read the 2nd price.

Obvious question: where does that $9 difference between the two Showcase bids rank all-time? I can't even remember one that close... wow.

I have the video embedded a few post above of a $1 difference - the one contestant was off on her showcase by $30, the other contestant was off by $29 on her showcase.

If I remember correctly, there were two $1 differences when Bob was host and a $5 difference since Drew began hosting:
HYO Winnings:
$46,241.21 (Participated in 6 games; on stage 4 times)
