Ah, Lucky $even, back to the ol' -89 combo. How I've missed that.
I definitely did
not miss Stack the Deck, though. That game is bad enough as it is, but having it show up alongside L7 means no cars were going to be won; not only that, but we've seen this twice and we've still yet to see Let 'em Roll or Pass the Buck... I'm hoping that's just due to funky airdates.
Also, those were some messed-up showcases; there was the ridiculously expensive SC1, while SC2, with two cheap items plus a cheaper-than-you'd-think hybrid, was a forced OB. Seems to me they're hoping Ronald declines the uber-trip to Las Vegas.
Everything else went pretty well, though. We finally break the 5-digit point on Punchy for the first time since the new slip distribution, Flip Flop was won on a flip-flop setup (and was an overall fun segment to watch), we get an exacta off a tough Bonkers setup (lower than 3 and higher than 7? Yikes!), and there was a Bargain win to close the pricing games.
Edit: I have to wonder: does Angela have the (daytime) record for the most combined money across her four slips in Punchy? She had a combined total of $16,000, and the only other contestant I can think of who had at least $15,000 across his four slips is "buy a dog" Brian, who gave up $5,000 and won $10,000; don't know how much his other slips were.
