I'm not going to say Squeeze Play was blown, because that would imply it was a forced win, and a contestant could have just as easily chose the 5 or the 3 and thus still lose. But of all the wrong choices Fred could have made, he sure made the one that made the least sense!
Besides that, though, the whole show went great, and we have a 5/6 show to show for it! I was already cheering for Tiffany since she's in the Navy, so to see her detect and defeat El Cheapo fairly quickly in Money Game was an awesome way to start the show.
That wasn't an easy Eazy setup, and it fooled most of the audience, but thankfully, Joellene knew that Mac Pros, even in laptop form, are really expensive. (Funny how we get a win on this game on its first playing, yet we still can't get a win on Most Expen$ive after 5 playings...)
Bullseye: Alyssa did exactly what I would have done, and both of us were right on the money.
Pathfinder: Awesome playing to net our first win here! As someone mentioned, it played out like the last playing of S40: three right in a row, then using up 2 SPs to finish it off.
And we have our first win of the season for Danger Price, too! The refrigerator and HDTV were easy to knock out, and seeing their particular prices and figuring that the third safe item is probably well above $1399 (the multi-prize games are typically set up with a good amount of spread between the 3-4 prices involved), I figured that the accessories were the best bet since the chance that tiny grill was going to be significantly more than the HDTV was small. Anyways, that was a great way to cap off the PG portion of the show, and Kimberly even got an extra $1000 on the Wheel afterwards!
Meanwhile, though, while it would have been cool to have 3 cars given away today, I'm sure the bean counters are happy that in the showcases, they only had to give away a relatively cheap FRATS. We still broke $80K in total winnings for the day, which to me is definitely a good day winnings-wise.
