As much as I hate Drew, I think I hate his kid more.  That kid has no business being anywhere on that stage.

Hudson was a complete dipshit the entire time he was on-camera.  I'm really glad he didn't get into the Showcase.

What the heck was that thing Drew was moving around on the Side by Side board?

I see Magic # is still broken.

Speaking of Magic #, holy crap was that a forced win.

I had a bad feeling Make Your Move was going to end the way it did.

Speaking of Make Your Move...Adam, I think you have a couple of the color codes backwards.

Hey, remember when Roger was still setting the games up and Stack the Deck was fun?  Those were good times.

That blue spot, on where contestant Karen Edwards is, might be very hard to win in order to get on the stage.  Karen bids 6 times and never got on stage at all.  Is the blue spot the hardest spot to win?

Any sensible discussion of something like this needs to revolve around where the contestants were in the bidding order, not which displays they were at.

Wayo, what is your problem with Connor? He's just a little kid.

That is the problem with him.  He's a kid who's being allowed to take part in hosting the game show his father works at because the father has the same maturity level as the son.

I don't think there was even a national preemption today. What a thread derail.

If you mean one that wiped out the same portion of the show everywhere, of course that didn't happen -- the show airs at three different times in different portions of the lower 48, so even trying to discuss such a thing is ludicrous.  The Pacific Time Zone most certainly did lose about half the episode, though.

It was probably a local preemption.

For a Presidential news conference?

It's a courtesy of his that he is inconsistent in doing, and playings like this remind me how I'd like him to extend that courtesy every playing

Having the host explain the rules correctly is not a courtesy, it's his freakin' job. I'm almost certain that the bailout option is still available in the rules, it's just something the host forgets to mention every time the game is played.

Like I knew what was going on, Steve. I didn't have a preemption. Good grief. And again, what is so bad about Drew bringing Connor on stage with him? Why do we have to have so much hate on him? But of course, what do I know? I don't seem to have the great Price knowledge that all of you have.

Yeah, I saw, my bad. I will fix it (and a Stack error) when I get home and start today's.

Last warning, enough on the pre-emptions and Connor stuff. If we want to talk about Connor, this is something better suited for a general discussion The Talk is Right over the individual episodes. There's nothing going on on the pre-emption part has been getting ripped left and right. If we can please move off of this topic and back to the episode, as lackluster as it might have been, it's a more beneficial route than beating this dead horse.

Ah, how I'm reminded of Joe_C :)

Anyways, what's exactly wrong with talking about how Connor related to this particular episode in the thread for this particular episode? (I could see if it was a conversation about Connor in general, but this argument seems to do with him getting in the way of Switcheroo on today's show.) ((And possibly the $15,004 IUFB incident.))

I think I messed up on something from my post. What I meant to post was this:

Stack The Deck: The Chevrolet Camaro Coupe: "The Kiss Of Death" of car games since Season 39.

I think that made more sense. Sorry about that.

The way I am reading it, it seems like a mix of today's episode and his presence at all.

Really?  It happened in this episode, didn't it?  I have a hard time seeing how you can justify telling people to stop talking about it.

That is the problem with him.  He's a kid who's being allowed to take part in hosting the game show his father works at because the father has the same maturity level as the son.

A father who works in the TV biz spending time with his (non-biological) son regardless of his busy schedule and letting the kid enjoy himself via being with him on TV... That's definitely immature

Not surprised that some here have that reaction/opinion though.

How was One Wrong Price hard? *tries to find a 55" Samsung 3D LED HDTV for < $2,000*
It's a TV. Most contestants assume that TV prices have gone down as of recent, and I don't think the "average contestant" would pick up on certain brand names.

On a side note, flame wars. Yeah. If you don't think Connor should be on the show, fine. But, oh man, we're getting really off-topic about the episode and getting at each other's throats. So, let's see if I can save the thread from derailing.

My thoughts about the episode?

Roo was painful, Side and # were easy, Move should have been won, but the contestant didn't realize the two-prize "8" rule (which is pretty common knowledge if you WATCH THE SHOW), and Stack and One Wrong Price were hard.

Thoughts about my thoughts?

What are you talking about? TV Prices going down? Brand Names? If you look at past episodes, most contestants overprice TV's on a regular basis.

Oops. Just realized my TV prices going down point was completely illogical. My bad.

As for the brand names, for example, Ashley is associated with cheap furniture, and SunBrite TV's are expensive.

Also, adding onto this point, certain types of TV's are more expensive than others, such as 3DTV's. The average contestant might not pick up on these patterns, and it becomes a hindrance in certain situations. Such as this one.

Finally, the keyword in your point is "most", not all.

My apologizes for not fully elaborating.

If one of my cashiers brought their kid to work, let him run around and bump into customers, and had him try to run the cash register, I'd certainly consider that immature.  This isn't any different.

But then again, you seem to have this predisposition to disagree with anything I say simply because I was the one who said it, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you'd put forth such a half-baked argument.
