HONK!

And you are just a tad over, Todd....

So, cu2010, as long as you did not go over, you will win your showcase.

And we have a double-overbid....

That's too bad, as I know you really had your eye on that portrait.

Well, hope you all had fun with this show.  A breif recap is coming soon.  But for now, this Bob, reminding you to help control the pet population.  Have your pets spayed or neutered.  Good-bye everybody!

Aw man...I knew I should have bid a cent...

Hope to see more fun shows like these soon. Reminds me of the good ol' days of crazy-themed HYOs around here. :)

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Hope you all had fun for this show, as I spent a Saturday visiting two thrift stores in my area in October.  I basically took a lot of pictures, wrote down prices, and had some basic ideas of how they would fit in the show.    There are a few items, like a Bundt-cake pan, which went unused.  Between my giggling over some of the items and thinking about games they would fit, I did actually buy myself a remote-control boat for $2.97 at Goodwill.

We managed to give away over $165 in this show:

goldenroadfanatic  $3.97
Todd     $6.00
123123123  $14.43
Cyclone  $40.97
cu2010  $46.47
vadernader  $53.50

Money Game was the most interesting choice for me.  I really debated whether using the piano would serve to be the "big ticket" item, but was also a bit worried that it would skew the overall cheapness of the show.  Based on the showcases, it seems to have thrown you all off.  But playing Money Game for single-digits was a trip.

SHOWCASE 1:  Music
Boom Box = $6.00
Turntable = $65.00
Organ = $125.00

SHOWCASE 2:  Every room in the house
Green Lamp = $38.00
Art work = $10.00
White Dresser = $75.00
Orange Chairs = $30.00

I hoped to sneak this show in during my winter break, and the timing worked out nicely.  I hope you all had fun.

For 2013, I look forward to many more Host Your Owns from all of you.  I will leave you all with this tease: it is possible that I will have a MAJOR, FUN ANNOUNCEMENT to share with all of you regarding a special Host Your Own.  Look for that in the coming weeks!

Oh boy, that was fun. As you can tell, I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to pricing these things. :P

Really fun show.

Since the DSW range was 1/100 of the one the show uses, I also would have expected the showcases to be the same ratio.

Which is why I thought Todd overbid.  :-P
