NEW PRICING GAME IDEA: Striker

STRIKER:

Contestant has to score 2 out of 4 goals in a penalty shoot-out.  Contestant is given one shot to start with and then by pricing 4 items has the chance to win up to 4 more shots.  Their aim is to get past a mechanical moving goalkeeper who moves from side to side at varying speeds.

Simple but effective game I reckon.

I don't know if sports-oriented games are ripe to be introduced anymore... they are long games. Also while Hole could be played by most contestants, I think less could play this game and rescheduling this game would be a hassle...

Correction *should say 4 chances to win 3 more shots by correctly pricing 3 out of 4 items.

First, it sounds like On the Nose to me.  Second, I think it should be 1 of 4 goals.  The thing that makes Hole in One different from Super Ball and On the Nose is that better pricing gets you closer to the hole rather than having more tries.  Third, you say that a contestant gets 3 more shots by pricing 3 of 4 items.  I assume this is like Let 'Em Roll where one prize's price is already shown.

Well they would be shown 4 items and have to price 3 of them correctly to win 3 more shots.  Each item is shown with a price and the contestant then has to guess whether the price is correct, or should be higher or lower.  I think you're right, it would be better if they had 4 chances to get 1 goal.

In other words, what you are saying is that there are 4 items that you guess correct/higher/lower but you can only win a maximum of 3 extra tries rather than 4 (I say 4 since 4 items = 4 tries seems the most likely thing).

Not necessarily.  In Secret X they give you 3 chances to win 2 X's, not 3 chances to win 3 X's.

Actually, in Secret X, you get 2 chances to win 2 X's.

I really like the idea...I think there has to be a way for Grandma to play.....College kids=no problem but what about 80 year old grandma that can barely walk....

I see, in the UK in the 80s they gave you 3 chances to win 2 X's.
