A New Pricing Game - Slight Mistake
« on: January 01, 2013, 10:03:47 PM »
This game would be played for a car

The contestant would be shown the price of the car, except that two of the numbers have to be switched to make it correct.

On the onset, the contestant will be giving one chance to change the correct numbers. If they do, they win the car. If they don't, they will have to answer a question about a small product. This continues until the car is won, or they don't earn another chance.

The pricing questions will become incresingly harder as the contestant makes more mistakes. First it would be higher/lower (Shell Game), then multiple choice (Pathfinder), true/false (5 Price Tags), then guessing the price within $5 (half of Spelling Bee's).

If it goes farther than that, meaning that they would get 5 chances, then the game would end automatically.

I hope this demo clears it up

Hello Lily, you are going to play Slight Mistake for a 2013 Ford Explorer

[2] [4] [5] [3] [9]

Now this is the price of that car, almost. If you can switch the right two numbers to fix the slight mistake, I'll give you that car.

(switches 9 and 5)

[2] [4] [9] [3] [5]

Is that right?  BUZZ

That's ok, as long as you can tell me if this hat is more or less than $70.

[$70]

(guesses more)

[MORE $129]

DING

Try for that car again

[2] [4] [5] [3] [9]

(changes 5 and 3)

[2] [4] [3] [5] [9]

Is that right?  BUZZ

Now tell me, is this tie $15 or $40?

[$15][$40]

(guesses $15)

And it is...

[$15]

DING

You've earned another chance

[2] [4] [5] [3] [9]

(changes 5 and 4)

[2] [5] [4] [3] [9]

Is that right?  BUZZ

You can get even another chance if you can tell me if the price of $150 is true or false this mirror

[$150]

(guesses true)

And it is...

[TRUE $150]

DING

Once again, try and win that car

[2] [4] [5] [3] [9]

(switches 4 and 3)

[2] [3] [5] [4] [9]

Is this right?

DING, DING, DING

You've won that $23,549 car, I hope you enjoy it.

^But if I don't, the contestant could get the first SP wrong and not get a chance at the car.

Continuing to get SPs right to get another chance is goofy anyways...
