CBS Press Express, Spoilers
« on: March 27, 2013, 10:31:41 AM »
Because this has been an issue on more than one occasion:

CBS runs a press & publicity website called CBS Press Express. Link is at the bottom of this post. The site occasionally makes available, in advance of episodes, photographs, press releases, and occasionally videos of content that is yet to be aired.

Per the rules, and as has always been stated if not always enforced: ANY GAMEPLAY ELEMENT SPOILED ON CBS PRESS EXPRESS IS INVALID FOR THAT DAY'S GAME. That includes mini-games (Plinko, Rat Race).  Every photograph, for example, is tagged with an episode number - episode airdates are often available in the descriptions, or can otherwise be cross-referenced against the Priceisright.com airdate list.

If there's a publicity photo showing Plinko, for example, and you can see a score on the board? Plinko Doubler is invalid for that playing.  A photo showing Rat Race results? No Rat Race casher.  If there are photos of showcase prizes/bids? Then the CSS itself is off. Please note that the photos DO have to be specifically identifiable to the showcase or to a pricing game/minigame. A simple photo of a car with no context is not valid enough reason for the CSS to be negated - unless proof that the car is a SC prize emerges before the show's airing.

In the event that spoiled info is uncovered after-the-fact, then results and bonuses *can*, at the CSS Host's discretion, be removed/withdrawn after the fact.

This is only a restatement/repost of a rule already on the books - just one that might not always have been enforced as it should be.  Whomever becomes the new permanent CSS host should remain mindful of potential spoilers that may interfere with gameplay.

Please note, FPG players: As I'm reading the rules, spoilers are LEGAL for that game so long as they're publicly available. So HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
