Bad news:
Another loss in Pathfinder.

Not-so-bad news:
Best thing that's happened in Pass the Buck all season-- $8,000! Better that than nothing.

Good news:
Full wins in Bonkers, Switch, Easy as 1-2-3, and Freeze Frame, and a well-deserved car win in the Showcase.

This was a really fun show.  Some of the contestants were a bit crazy (here's looking at you, Bianca), but it's hard to argue with results like 4/6.

I know this show is considered part of the fourth week of the season, thereby meaning it is out of order, but Pathfinder really needs to go away.   :D
Torgo has left the building. John and I never really cared for the way he presented himself.

It was nice to go back in time to the 6060's today and see some games that have been underplayed all season show up when they were supposed to show up (Bonkers, Eazy, and Buck!) It was not as nice to see Pathfinder show, but I had a feeling that was coming seeing as it missed the 50's and 70's. Nothing too spectacular happened today, but it was just refreshing to see a show where 5 out of 6 contestants won something significant (and Pathfinder was played pretty darn badly), and the setups in general were much lighter than we've been used to seeing (Buck in particular was wide open for a win today with 1 very easy GP and the car in #2.) Amazing how even these slight changes can make a very average show more watchable - hopefully, eventually they learn that.

Timings:
Bonkers (4.5) - 3:21
Switch? (3.5) - 2:57
Pass The Buck (5.5) - 5:35
Eazy as 123 (4) - 4:26
Freeze Frame (4) - 3:46
Pathfinder (6) - 5:32
Total (27.5): 25:35

Always drives me nuts that contestants enter contestants row at the beginning of the show out of order ... and sometimes, disadvantaging themselves!  Another example of that today ...

Otherwise it was nice to see contestants win their games ...
I like Pathfinder, I think it's a game a lot of people identify with the Price is Right ... too bad today's contestant didn't have any luck ... (moved onto the showcase, only to be over by a bit).

The tall "works for a ketchup company" guy looked like a model to me, I'm surprised they didn't offer him a job lol

I hardly did this in a while (I guess I can thank Mike for that ), but here it goes:

THE BAD NEWS:

Pathfinder: Even though this was aired last summer (You can tell since Rachel didn't have a baby bump yet), we are still getting too much of that game. Despite Elizabeth's bad playing, mostly thanks to the first two SPs, she did get a $1.00 on the wheel (Kinda saw that coming).

THE NOT-SO-BAD NEWS:

PTB: Even though Kimberly didn't get the Yaris, she did win $8K and her showcase with a Mazda.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Bonkers: Alyssa did good on the second try!

Switch?: Bianca was all over the place, but she did got a easy win!

Eazy as 1-2-3: Another easy setup and win for James!

Freeze Frame: Same with Vincent!

A pretty good 4/6 show today!

Fixed for ya.

Much as I love Pathfinder, it being a very old, yet very cool game, I agree. It needs a bit of a break.

BTW, she only got one of the SP's wrong, not 2.

I enjoyed Pathfinder a lot when it made only monthly appearances.  Seeing it played was worth it because it was an awesome game that didn't show up as often as other car games.

Now, I cringe when I see Pathfinder because it's become overplayed and it is on quite a losing streak.  I personally long to see Spelling Bee, Master Key, and Five Price Tags again.  As much as I love Pathfinder, it is in need of a break.

Still more Pathfinder?! Bah! (even out of sequence)  ;-)
(What made its appearance even worse to me were the choices for the second digit. That Chrysler looks more expensive than it is, though someone who watches the show regularly probably wouldn't have been fooled.)

Very nice to see one of my favorite games today: Pass The Buck. And the contestant got more than one pick today. Also, with $5000 under the first number chosen, there was some suspense. Would she go for another number or play it safe? Then, after deciding to go for it, would she choose a "Lose Everything"? This made the game's appearance even better. :)

Even if it's only going to last for four shows, it was really nice to hear the Big Wheel sounding like the Big Wheel again.

Yay for Pass the Buck!  Man has that been underplayed this season.

I know this show is considered part of the fourth week of the season, thereby meaning it is out of order, but Pathfinder really needs to go away.   :D

Heck, even with that in mind, it was still the game's third playing in four weeks.

So not only was it nice to see Buck today, but it was actually set up very well; the GPs favored getting at least 1 extra pick, and the big amounts were in the middle numbers, with the car at #2. And while Kimberly couldn't quite get the car from all of that, she still extracted a great amount of money... and she won a car in the Showcase anyways, so now she has cash to help pay the taxes.

Also nice to see everything that's not a car game favor wins. Pathfinder wasn't bad, per se... it's just that contestants still haven't gotten the memo that the Chrysler 200 is not a Chrysler 300.

Bonkers, Switch?, Eazy Az 123, Freeze Frame:  Nice wins! :-)
Pass The Buck:  Good haul even though the car wasn't won.
Pathfinder:headbang:

Good show overall, IMHO.
