Austin: Hmmm, I can tell it's going to be tough down there in the row today. The actual retail price is $1,795, and it's Bob!

Hello Bob. Bob is a Math teacher, and it says on his shirt that he once gave a math lesson about Plinko. That's very interesting. I'd love to hear about it sometime.

Now Bob, I can tell you're a loyal friend and true and so you'd probably love to know that you'll be the first to play this new (old) game. But first, I want to show you what you're playing for, it is right here:

Rich: It's a new trailer!

Chalet's Takena 1865 Trailer; this lightweight travel trailer sleeps up to six people and features range and refrigerator plus full size queen bed. It's a prize worth $14,360.

Austin: And 'round on the turntable comes Give or Keep.

I'll bet you know how to play this game Bob, but many people are seeing it for the first time, so I'll explain the rules. I'm going to show you six prizes, two at a time, and you want to keep the higher priced one and give me the other; and at the end of the game, if you've kept more than you've given away, you'll win that trailer, it's that simple. And incidentally, you get to keep the prizes you say you want.

Now, the first two prizes on the board are:

A calculator and a label maker; listen to Rich.

Rich: First, the Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus calculator is handy for graphic for courses such as calculus and trigonometry, and...

...label, mail, and file smarter with the Labelwriter 450 Turbo Label Maker.

Austin: Keep the one that's higher priced, which is it?

You can read all about Plinko in math class at this link:  http://mathcoachblog.wordpress.com/2012/08/01/lets-play-plinko-at-the-siemens-stem-academy/

And, since I am a math teacher, I naturally will keep the calculator.

Austin: He wants the calculator, and the label maker is:

$130, so we put $130 in the GIVE column. Now the next two prizes are:

A juicer, and a DVD player. Tell us, Rich.

The Breville 850-watt Juice Extractor features overload protection LED and large-capacity pulp collector, and...

...this DVD/VCR combo from Toshiba has simultaneous DVD playback and VHS record and can transfer all of your tapes to disc.

Which one do you want Bob, the DVD Player or the Juicer?

Now see, I think you are trying to trick me here..."there's no way the juicer is expensive", but I sense that it is....so I will keep the juicer.

Austin: I'm not leading you in any way, I'm just telling it like it is. The DVD Player is:

$120, so we now have $250 in the GIVE column. The next two prizes are:

An outdoor GPS, and The Beatles collection. Listen.

Rich: This rugged handheld navigator from Garmin is preloaded worldwide relief basemap for hiking and camping trips and features 2.2-inch color display, and...

...all twelve of The Beatles studio albums plus the Past Masters are included in this all-in-one box set.

Austin: With that in mind, what do you say?
