The Higgins Edition of Price is Right [Episode 4]
« on: February 10, 2013, 02:34:43 PM »

Time for HYO Higgins Style #4!

Alright guys, 4 is my lucky number and I hope we have a good time with this one. The big difference here is that I will be hosting this one and we have four new models: Alexandra, Haley, Allyson, and Ciera. Rich is still the announcer.

I have college classes in the early afternoon on Monday through Thursday. Usually done by 3:00pm.

As you know, 48 hours to sign up; at the very least I need 11 people. We're going to sign up a little differently this time, though:

During your contestant interview, if the producer said to you, "Prove to me that you are a Loyal Friend & True, and I will call you down," what would you say?

The four comments that I like the most will be the first four contestants. Good luck guys!

Yay, William, good host, and a qualifier for the first time since, I dunno, a show I last co-hosted? :P

Anyway, hmm, this makes it harder, given I don't know if you want humorous or accuracy, probably the former.

Let's do it!

Here's my answer: "Vickyann won a total of $147,517 during that famous Season 35 premiere DSW. Also, Yolanda Bowsley had a very loose tube top. Does that answer your question, sir?" :-D

I would pull a piece of paper from my back pocket, show it to Stan, and say "look here, I have this document signed by Bob himself that says I am one". Of course, said document was printed by me earlier that same day, with professional-looking letterhead and a careful forgery of Bob's signature, left in the sun for a while to show age.

I haven't done one of these in a while, so why not?

I'll just whisper in your ear where the $25,000 slip is.

I'd would love to join

Also, I'm a loyal friend and true because I could win Ten Chances with only five chances AND with my hand behind my back

On a completely unrelated note, can you play Ten Chances with the magic marker in your mouth?  :-)

Why not?

I have a rare but rotten $10,000 bill from who knows what year! I'm willing to trade it for a real $10,000 check once I win in either Grand Game or Punch-A-Bunch! By the way I'm in!  :-D

I would show off my Price is Right tattoo of Bob on my tongue.

This explains why I can't eat meat before it flies out of my mouth.

I'd love to play.

"I've watched the Price is Right my entire life.  When I was little, my mom told me that during the showcase showdown and during Plinko, I would drop whatever toys I was playing with and be glued to the TV"

I am signing up, as William did not provide me a script for his episode.  This is not something I usually allow, but I let it slide for hosts who demonstrate consistent quality.

How am I a loyal friend and true?  I gave a whole math talk on instructional strategies at a national conference last year, using Plinko as the lesson framework.

A challenge, Mr. Higgins? I accept it. :-)

"How am I a Loyal Friend and True, Mr. Stamillikhael Richiggarskowitz? I know that anyone who says "I have been waiting [number of daytime seasons up to that point] to spin the Big Wheel!" is full of the things that bulls drop."

(Also, I hope to avoid giving myself Foot-In-Mouth Disease again.)
The above is my opinion and mine alone.

To answer your questions: yes, I am a guy and yes, I have a face. (I also have the occasional spurt of weirdness.)
