Just of note, I should have tomorrow's recap up tomorrow on time, if not, it will be up later in the evening. I have a 4:30 physical to go to and 2 of my finals, which should have me out in the 12:30 range.

Edit: Way too vague.

Clock: Another good playing.

C-H: The audience doesn't know that much about cosmetics.

CU: Clementine really hurt her chances by getting the second, fourth & fifth digits too early.

CoG: Fairly easy.

HiO: That tick medication should be $19.99 & Ralph wisely adjusted his putt after it veered off to the right the first time.

Squeeze: I would've also lost w/ Shelley's guess.

Showcases: I thought both ladies were way off, but definitely not the case for Peggy.

Solid show to start this week.

Pretty decent show today. The obvious highlight was of course the Hole win, to which I'd like to say 2 things: 1) Come on, Mike! We already almost never play this game and now the groceries are super-impossible every time too. Pick one or the other of these things, not both. Even as long as it is, Hole should be a 4-week game at most. 2) I criticize the editors a lot, so I would like to thank them for leaving that Hole as untouched as possible today. It seemed like it took forever for him to make that second putt, but it only added to the suspense to leave all the silence in. I'm glad either we ran short enough elsewhere or were able to take time out of other less noticeable places. Good priorities today.

Other than that, nice to see Clock and Cliff, and both played well, and Cover was its standard ugly self. I appreciated the different lineup today than what we've been seeing too. I think Clock-Cliff can be a good start if a bigger car game is 3rd. Cover doesn't quite fit that bill, but it was good trying something different even with Hole in the lineup.

Timings:
Clock Game (4.5) - 4:49
Cliff Hangers (4.5) - 4:31
Cover Up (5) - 4:29
Flip Flop (3.5) - 2:56
Hole In One (7) - 7:34
Squeeze Play (3.5) - 2:48
Total (28): 25:57

Now this was a pretty good show today. Clock Game was exceptionally well played. Nice to see Cana had a really hood grasp of how to play Clock Game and the best strategy for it.  On the other hand, getting 4 numbers right on Cover Up is too many for the 1st turn. The best way to play Cover Up is to BS the 2nd number on your 1st turn to enable yourself an additional turn in the event you should get 2 of the last 3 numbers right. Clementine really limit her chances by getting 4 numbers right the 1st time. And Hole in 1 or 2 was the best part of tthe show. The 2nd putt was damn near perfect and it seemed clear Raplh was adjusting to mistake he made on the 1st putt. He looked like a golfer on the 2nd putt. 4 wins makes this a solid B show. (I only give A's for 6 wins or 5 wins and a DSW)
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

I disagree with this mentality wholeheartedly, and it's sad that the quality of a show can only be measured by a win-loss ratio by some people.  What ever happened to just being entertaining?  I'll take a nail-biting loss over a "gimme" win any day.

EXCELLENT Show today! Even the Cover loss was good because of how it played out. I was getting pretty sick and tired of seeing it be lost in 3 tries coming down to the 4th digit every time being the lowest and contestants picking the highest. Of course this was similar, but not the same! :P

Hole in One was an awesome segment in general, the clear highlight of the show. (Even if Drew got his history wrong, I know he's made it at least twice. :P)

4 wins makes this a solid B show. (I only give A's for 6 wins or 5 wins and a DSW)

Everything DJTorgo said and more.

Wins should not equal a direct Rating of how good an episode is.

Today was pretty good after Friday's Kids Special:

THE BAD NEWS:

Cover-Up: Clementine really came so close and I thought that the 4th number was gonna be 4. Stupid 3.................I hope it will at least have a win before this season is over.

Squeeze Play: I probably would've lost on that one myself, but at least Shelley didn't took out the 7.

THE GOOD NEWS:

CoG: Peggy, ironically enough, saw that one "coming" by making it "going". And she also won a Harley at the end!

Clock Game: Cama really played that professionally!

Cliffhangers: I find it funny that the audience was abruptly silent when Ann bid $35 on the eyeshadow kit. Shows how much they know............

Hole-In-One (Or Two): Even though Ralph bombed on the toothpaste, he did took his time on his putts. The second putt was pretty awesome, IMHO!!

4/6 wins today.........A good show! Hope this keeps for the rest of the week.

Wins should not equal a direct Rating of how good an episode is.

Yes, this, so much.  Like May 7, 1999, which was one of the greatest episodes in Price is Right history.  And the most memorable part of the episode was the Any Number segment, which was lost.

A show is so much more than just how many games are won or lost.

Clock Game:  Very well played! :-)
Cliff Hangers, Coming Or Going:  Nice job! :-)
Cover Up:  What a bummer after having 4 numbers right on the first try! :-(  I thought for sure the 4th number would be either 0 or 1.
Hole In One (Or Two):  Great second putt!
Squeeze Play:  Rats! :-(

Good start to the week, IMHO.

I'll agree that today's Clock Game win was nice, but that price of $950 for the first prize made things easier.

Hole in One (or Two) was just awesome though. Great old-fashioned television there: no noticeable edits, complete silence for the putts, an emphasis on how much the the contestant was playing for, the drama of the second putt itself, the lifting and spinning of Drew, the shot of the wife coming down the aisle. Really enjoyable.    (And Ralph seemed like a great, genuine guy.)

Not sure if Drew actually forgot about the second chance though; nice job covering up if he did.

How often has somebody been $1-up'd four times like poor Amy today? Granted she did it once herself and turned down a second opportunity so she had fair opportunities to get up on stage.
So this is the "get off of my lawn" stage of my life.  I'm not impressed.

It either happened, or very close to $1-ing, sometime in Season 32 or 33, to the fifth contestant.  It was memorable because she kept getting $1ed every single round, and having the person who'd $1ed her winning at least 3 out of four rounds (and I think all four?), all except for having the last bid on the fourth item up for bids... which she couldn't take advantage of because someone else having had a perfect bid.  Memorable just because I'd never seen someone with such atrocious luck in contestants' row before.

Nope, he was faking Ralph out. I actually found that to be very awesome and one of the best parts of that segment.

Wow, can't believe I missed this. That's very unfortunate...
