They clearly didn't want to give away any cars today- both of today's car game setups were just brutal. It was actually amazing that Jane actually got the MINI Cooper price right on the second turn in Switcheroo, but she didn't keep that 3 up there for long.

Wow, this show did absolutely nothing to distinguish itself. Just delete this from your DVR. Sick of brutal car setups paired together though - just stop. Knew 17123 would get used eventually...

I practically missed the whole show today, because I overslept and I got a doctor's appointment altogether.

So basically I and, pretty much, my doctor did me a big favor by not having to endure L7 and 'Roo. And from the looks of the results, this is a good enough reason as to why.

Obviously, Cobra Commander and Destro...........uh, I mean........Mike and Adam really didn't want any cars to be won today, so it seems to be a average show at best.

It's too bad Jane didn't do well in Switcheroo, since she actually played it the way it was meant to be played (thinking of how much the small prizes were, then putting the leftover number in the car).  Real shame she lost.

Bargain Game: Too easy.

Bag: Didn't expect the tablets to be that expensive. I thought for sure it was the aspercreme that was $14.

L7: EVILLLLLLLLLLLL!

Flip Flop: Good Win!

Switcheroo: Should have stuck with your first choice the second time around, Jane!

Most Expensive: Thought the grill was most expensive. Good job though by Christopher!

^ Was the cash game won? No. It's 3/6 with no car or cash full wins, it's the same thing.

Mike is "improving" the win percentage while keeping the car & cash win percentage the same, if not worse. So meh.

Bargain Game: I got schooled big time...I said New Orleans.  I'm happy Rachel said Cape Cod.

It's In The Bag: Those last two bags were HARD.  I actually agreed with how Nicholas set up the products.  That was a smart bailout.  Who would have guessed the dog treats are $6.88?

Lucky Seven: Now that was a forced loss there.  Sandra got screwed on that setup.  Myself included: I thought $18,359.  Those paint/fabric sealers=EVIL price.

Flip Flop: I thought alike like Larissa.

Switcheroo: I failed this one.  I thought $21,320.  Wow, Jane had the car right on the second round and changed it.  That was really...something.

Showcases: I thought it was nice for Nicholas to pass the car showcase to Jane since she had tough luck in Switcheroo.  Man can Jane ever catch a break here?  First she loses a car in Switcheroo.  Then she overbids on the car showcase.  I felt bad for here.  As for Nicholas, it was definitely a nice day for him.

BG: Nothing to it.
IITB: Good bailout. And congrats on him winning $1K on the wheel, and his Showcase!
L7: The only "seemingly-evil" number, IMO, was the middle number.
Flip-Flop: I knew she'd only have to "Flop".
Switcheroo: Tough break. All she got was the tape dispenser.
Most Expensive: I always thought the grill would be the most expensive, but boy, was I wrong.

3.5/5 stars.

Bargain Game, Flip Flop, Most Expensive:  Nice wins! :-)
It's In The Bag:  Good bailout.  I thought for sure Nicholas walked too soon.
Lucky $even, Switcheroo:  They sure didn't want those cars won.

An okay start to the week, IMHO.

I agree,

Mike generally sets up car games for losses while keeping other games for different prizes fair most of the time.

I don't watch the new Let's Make A Deal.  But I was a fan of all previous versions and I know that when Monty offered a car, the games or pricing deals were really hard to win for cars.  I think maybe in all the years that I saw LMAD the winning percentage of cars in LMAD's pricing deals was I would say 40% or worse.

Anyone care to comment on this?  I assumed LMAD made car deals hard, because Monty Hall and Stephen Hatos did not have the budget at Deal, like they did at Price with Bob Barker.

How is the car win percentage on the Mike Richard's version of Let's Make a Deal?

The point being that Mike may feel comfortable to budget effectively by making car games harder.  When car games are already hard. (i.e Three Strikes, Triple Play, Golden Road.)

Joe
