5/24/13 -- RESULTS

I was the only person to pick Clock Game... but it didn't make a damn bit of difference today because I don't look for spoilers.  (I did consider picking Cliffy and Danger on their own merits, but I felt that Adam was more likely to throw us Pathy again.)  But, believe it or not, I wasn't in last place because Clock Game actually showed up 4th.  Steve got this week's booby prize because, like everybody else, he never expected Danger Price to show up 6th.

We had a tie for 8th place (4 MP/22 CP) between Punchy and Unique, so I had to go through the tiebreakers to see if 8 players or 9 players would be going on to next week's semifinals.  They both picked Cliffy and Danger, which was no surprise.  But what about slotting?

Punchy blew it on both games.

But Unique slotted Danger in the second half!

So Unique moves on and Punchy is out.  It's kinda ironic how slotting has killed Unique's score so many times this season, but that slotting is what's keeping him alive in this tournament.

It's different, I think, when the show has an ad during the show that shows a Cliff loss and a Danger playing.

Out of curiousity, say I ended up slotting Danger in the wrong half. Would Punchy and I both have moved on or would we both have been eliminated, since the tie would have been for 8th?

Well, that was a painful loss.....just goes to show you sometimes you need more than spoilers to do well. 

I do think it would have been hilarious if Drew had given a Tech Win in Cliff Hangers, when we saw Hans go off the cliff. 

I do believe, however, I won last year (did the results get posted and I just forgot, or are we still waiting on those?), so I'll certainly take getting this far. And really, having a guaranteed spot next year is no fun anyway...I want the challenge of working for it.
