Actually, this wasn't a bad lineup with only two quickies, and despite perhaps the lowest combined showcase totals for the season, a $10,000+ waverunner, and two cars over $20,000, it wasn't exactly true budget mode. The first half was great with the first three games win, and a 32 in the upper center of Money Game breaking the season formula. The Cheetos spilling over It's In The Bag though feels more appropriate for a Nickelodeon show and Drew's joke was rather corny. Coming or Going was quite difficult with the backwards result for a trip along with a vague description (no hotel mentioned, so who knows if the hotel was a Hampton Inn or The Plaza). Cover Up was its usual evil self, but at least that think music is getting me psyched for the return of Check Game! Nothing exciting happened on the showcase showdowns and showcases, but all in all, a pretty decent show that includes a perfect bid.

For me the highlight of the day, if I had to choose one, was the Money Game win. I didn't find the Cliff Hangers win that spectacular; as a regular viewer who had seen the towel set and the iced tea machine before, I knew the contestant was going to win with his last bid of $50, even with him being $17 off on the photo frame.

That being said, on to Drew. From the way he made his entrance today, I had a feeling we were going to see him behaving in a manner I would call "more goofy than usual". I strongly disliked the way he hosted It's In The Bag. Using the word "chicken" to refer to a contestant possibly stopping to take his/her winnings and later smashing the Cheetos bag were, in my opinion, both extremely unprofessional and not amusing in the least. To echo what Kev347 wrote, if I was in charge of the show, I would definitely warn Drew about possibly being terminated or not being re-hired when his contract expired. If Price can survive without Bob, I know it could survive without Drew.

Drew could have been quite good today if he'd been just a bit less goofier, but he ended up providing number of moments that just didn't look right.  Fortunately, though, it was surrounded by a four-out-of-sixer with a bailout in It's in the Bag.

Aw...no 41 in Money Game today. :(

I'm sure the production staff was thrilled about Drew blowing up a bag of Cheetos all over the floor and It's in the Bag. :rollold:

So, a 4/6 with a nice Money Game win, unsponsored prizes being destroyed in It's in the Bag, and Cover Up having the strategy being inadvertently used, but ultimately not working in part because for some odd reason, the contestant never thought to end the price with a 0 (something most contestants would do pretty quickly, though admittedly it's not often prices in this game end in 0).

An odd moment at the end of Cliffhangers: the long delay before the bells signaling the exacta on the last prize pretty much gave away that he got the last price right on the nose. I mean, I understand that most of the drama in this game comes from seeing how close Hans gets to the edge (we definitely got that with the second prize), and you can't really do that with an exacta, but the long delay is still a bit too much of a giveaway there...

Maybe the lack of the 41 had something to do with the 47 being correct?
Give that (aside from the 3-20's choices for the front), all the other choices are different (1-30's, 1 40's, 1-50's, 1-70's, 1-80's, 1-90's).
Perhaps the thought of having 41 & 47 was too confusing?
