New Pricing Game - Drop Down

The game is called Drop Down and would be played for one prize.

Let's imagine you are playing for a hot tub worth $7,395. The board would look like the following

                  7 3 1 0
                      4 8 9 5

For each digit, you would have two choices, either 7 or 4 is the first number, 3 or 8 the second number and so on.

So the contestant would start with the first digit.

If they pick the choice in the higher row, they continue.

But the moment the contestant picks a choice from the lower row, they can't go back to the top row.

So, in the above case the 5 possible choices would be... (choices highlighted in red)

It's a bit too hard for a 1 prize 4 digit game. I actually count 16 Choices.

Unless I misread and there are only a distinct amount of selections the contestant can make beforehand, 16 is way too hard.

It's an all right idea.  The "drop down" feels too arbitrary, though, but it's needed, because the game would be too hard without that aspect.  I'm not sure if maybe there's a way around making it feel like it belongs in the game?

There was something you missed.  Once you drop down to the lower set of numbers, you can't go back to the higher set of numbers again.

I like the concept, but I can't buy into the last choice in the OP being a possible answer.

There are many examples on the show itself where the first or last answer in a game is never correct, and this should be one of those cases.

I guess you could get rid of the first and last answers, but then it somewhat becomes a very obscure game of Squeeze Play.

How about we have a character, such as the Yodely Guy, start on the first number. His prime objective is to get to the other side.

So he will start moving across the top in front of the numbers, and the contestant will have a button that activates a "trap door".

The moment a contestant wants to pick the lower of the two numbers, they press the button.

So to win the example, you would wait till the...Spy Guy (that's a placeholder name) is in front of the 1 in the top row before pressing the button to win.

Also, you could call it Trap Door.
