The Drew faces appearing on Cover Up was great, IMO. It was clearly a nod to his comment last time the game was played, and I liked that the show decided to throw it back at him. That he clearly wasn't expecting the change just made it funnier.

Anyways, Rent is back to being brutally hard, and Path was actually quite exciting... unfortunately, the game just took an evil turn at the end with the fake -0, path ending in the middle, and evil iron.

Cover Up was weird; none of the last 3 digits technically had their lowest possible choice be correct. Throw in a fake -0 and -5 for the last choice, though, and it was still tough.

Rent:  Nice bailout - suprised they knocked it back all the way to one solution, but I guess it's fair.  What I wish they'd do is start it at one solution after the last win, and add one possible solution each time it's played until the next time it's won, at which point it resets.

Cover up:  IMO that was hilarious!  If they want to satisfy the purists AND the people that thought this was funny, they could have little pictures of Drew holding up incorrect numbers that go in the default slots, so you're still covering up a number but Drew as well.

Pathfinder:  OWWW.  To cause a loss on what I thought was a pretty standard zero rule being violated.  Ouch.

Also **** yeah Nelson with the stoner bid and becoming the day's biggest winner!  Sure was nice of Gina to pass the car showcase to him and then end up going over on hers.  Though I'm honestly suprised that with Nelson doing a stoner bid to get up on stage that he didn't also add $20 to his showcase bid.

I can't help but wonder if somebody new has been involved with the setups for the last week or so.

The car games have been especially cruel, which could just be a result of budget mode but there's also been some strange stuff going on.

The season number missing during Money Game.  A duplicate Squeeze Play answer.  A repeating digit Line 'Em Up correct price.

Today, not ending the Path on the edge of the board for the first time since early Season 39 and those Cover Up pictures.

I hope this is just an adjustment period for something - perhaps Scott leaving?

Rent:  Nice bailout - suprised they knocked it back all the way to one solution, but I guess it's fair.  What I wish they'd do is start it at one solution after the last win, and add one possible solution each time it's played until the next time it's won, at which point it resets.

I'd much rather they select one difficulty and stick to it, because otherwise I'm not expecting the game to be won for a long time now.

I'm also not sure how hard it would be to choose a number of solutions to allow that is fairly high, say 9, and come up with prices that would work.

By the way, this selected difficulty should not be one solution.

They spend a whole season making Rent easier and easier just to prove that it isn't impossible, and as soon as somebody wins, they make it next to impossible again.  I don't think that surprised anyone, but that doesn't make it any less goofy.

As a one-time joke that Drew pretty clearly didn't know was going to happen, the Cover Up thing was funny.  I really hope it isn't a permanent change, though, because without the wrong price there to Cover Up, the whole premise of the game sort of loses its meaning, whether Drew grasps it or not.

Why do I not think it's a coincidence that as soon as Scott leaves, they set Pathfinder up the wrong way again?  (And the whole rest of the game was great to watch, too, which just made the stupefying outcome even worse.)

Showcase #2 was a nice throwback to the way these things used to be written.

I guess if they want to not have numbers down there anymore, they could put yellow cards with a G-T asterisk on each one, not necessarily Drew's face.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Um, why?

Because the asterisk is old and I don't like change.
Torgo has left the building. John and I never really cared for the way he presented himself.

Here's a friendly piece of advice:  When you're already on thin ice with site staff, being a wise-ass to a former moderator is probably not a good idea.
