Only notable really here is that Buck was finally set up much better (at the expensive of Freeze & Danger's winnability, though). (I still don't like the first GP.) It is too bad that it was STILL lost.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Well, leave it to today to be "the black sheep" of the week............

Bargain Game was the only solid win, and after that..........Well, I guess what happened with Gas and OA this week, Mike was probably at the point of desperation today.

I guess James's wife might throw away the paddleboards like she did with the lamp.

Not much else to point out today, but it was good to see Rachel back from maternal leave.......And considering how this special fared out, that's saying a whole lot.

Adam: I don't think handing out "root bear...from The Price is Right" sounds like the safest thing :) (unless there is such thing as root bear, and in that case, forgive me).

Nice to finally have Rachel back on the show! My favorite out of all the current models.

And great to see more than one pick in Pass the Buck for the first time in what seems like eons!
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Quite a few "manly" prizes, to the point where I honestly cannot tell whether Price or Wheel of Fortune is better at embracing the stereotypes of a father.

James, who won a lamp on The Price is Right 28 years prior and it was thrown away by his wife, and Katie are playing Danger Price
28 years ago would be...1985. Hm.

I do wonder if James won that lamp on the nighttime show...
The above is my opinion and mine alone.

Not much to really say about this show - fairly underwhelming. It was nice to see Rachel back on the show, though. 2-player Plinko just seems weird, though, no matter how you slice it.

That intro they did at the top of the show was neat, having not seen many of the specials they've done in the past couple of years, I'm curious - has this been done before or is it unique to this episode?

That bonus prize to all the dads in the audience just before the showcase prices were revealed was a little awkward... I can't help but feel like maybe it would have been better placed before presenting the showcases. Also, I'm wondering if all these bonus prizes to everyone in the audience that seem to pop up every so often or the giveaways on priceisright.com is having much of an impact on the prize budget? I'm also wondering if these two-prize showcases that have been prevalent this week are a result of a diminished prize budget, as well?

The other thing that really stood out for me (and I'll probably catch heat for mentioning it, but whatever) was how many times Drew had to say hello to Connor. It's a nice thought and it's obvious Drew loves his son, but, once or twice during the show would have been enough. Besides, I'm sure Connor knows how much Drew loves him without him having to say it four times during the course of the show and we the audience know how much he loves him based on the number of times he brings him on-stage. But, it wasn't really a dealbreaker or anything, just something I noticed he did during the show... look how many times Ray Combs brought his family on-stage on Family Feud.

Pretty blah special. They certainly tried to have this one not be blah though - both A# and especially Buck were very winnable. I'm fine at having the car games winnable at the expense of some of the others once in awhile - it's what Roger used to do and makes more variety in setups. This makes the show much more watchable on a daily basis because you never know what will be hard and what will be easy - please take note. However, despite that, not much you can do when the right numbers just aren't picked in either game, and we get our 50 millionth stinko this season. I agree that Drew overdid it with Connor today and was kind of just there as he can be on couples shows. Oh well - it was still a decent June week overall. Hopefully the last week can have some good moments - seeing Buck set up that wide open on the very last taping day encourages me.

Timings:
Bargain Game (3.5) - 3:20
Any Number (5) - 5:10
Plinko (5.5) - 5:24
Freeze Frame (4) - 2:48
Danger Price (4.5) - 3:56
Pass The Buck (5.5) - 5:23
Timing (28): 26:01

Was it a promo for this episode that used a "spinning dollar sign" transition to the opening? If so, this is the fourth time that has happened (after Kids Day, Mother's Day, and the Salute To Firefighters).

A forgettable show, aside from Bargain Game.

Saying hello to Connor once was a nice thing to do, no question, but I couldn't help but be surprised that Drew did it 2 or 3 times.

Not a very good show other than Bargain Game, IMHO.

Car game wise, I think Hole In One would've fit with the theme today because there are Fathers that golf.

It's nice to finally have a proper 3-pick Pass The Buck game, even if in the end, the contestant didn't pick the right number. Now, if only the game could be set up like that more often, it might not have gone winless this season...

Drew was completely on his game today.  He was able to make this a great show despite it only being a one-out-of-sixer.

It's nice to have Rachel back on the show. :)

Did anyone notice that Any Number's prizes were staged at Door #3 instead of Door #2 like they usually are?  They must have decided it was easier to do that than to try to strike Barker's Bargain Bar during the second Item up for Bids.

I'm pretty sure this is the first time both digits in a wrong price in Plinko have ever been the same number.

The whole story about James's wife throwing away the lamp he won 28 years ago was absolutely priceless.

Yay!  Somebody actually got all three picks in Pass the Buck!  See, Mike and Adam?  Isn't the game more fun when the whole thing gets played?

The wrapper on one of the root beer bottles had the pattern from the Season 31-34 Big Doors on it.  That certainly was a surprise.
