SB: Nice that Christian finally got a car!

Freeze: I knew freezing at $4K+ wouldn't work; I would've guessed $6K+.

Clock: Not the best playing, but Amber got the job done.

Pushover: It's been a while since a full push resulted in a win for this PG.

MoL: Easy, at least for me.

PaP: Both the CoverGirl & Scott's L.G. each cost $8.50, I believe.

Showcases: Virginia, all the way from Taiwan, won $26K & her Showcase to become the week's top winner!

Enjoyable show to end the week!

A good end for the week!

THE BAD NEWS:

Freeze Frame: I guess that was a bit of a "give me" setup, considering how pricey outdoor TVs are. Including ones with a hot tub added. While I'm on the subject of "give me" setups..........

Pushover: Sarah...............SMH.

THE NOT-SO-BAD NEWS:

MoL: Betty did a fairly good job despite not getting to the Yaris (which is probably "Less").

THE GOOD NEWS:

Clock Game: Amber was pretty much all over the place, but at least her playing was better than the one a couple weeks ago. Good thing she was playing for the Xbox 360 and not the Xbox One (Even though, that's ways off and I don't care in the slightest for it).

Spelling Bee: Nice to see Christian getting the word CAR!

Pick A Pair: So Drew said, "Double Stuf.......cookies". Too bad Oreos wasn't sponsored today. Anyway, Virginia did good on it.........Plus a $26K on the wheel and a Elantra!

All-in-all, despite a couple of budget-mode shows regarding Tuesday's triple car win, Friday was a very good way to end the week! Hope to see Check Game next week or in the 4th of July special that's coming up.

This ended up being a pretty decent last full week (not counting piecewise next week) (and a winning one). Even today, the losses were really all due to poor gameplay, I really liked how this show was set up (and that we actually got Bee over Roo).

I hope the (as of now) 8 double dollars doesn't make Mike too grumpy or anything. That is a really high outlier and it should come down next season. Definitely impacted the budget in some way this season.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Pretty enjoyable end to the week, even if the gameplay was pretty bad today (seriously, over $4000 for a washer/dryer? We barely got Clock today). But after a week that had some tough budget setups, they appeared to let things just happen today, in particular even playing Bee and leaving it fairly open. They probably weren't counting on yet another double dollar in addition to Bee being won, but such is life. Drew, while you're on vacation this month I hope you have happened to turn on the TV and see what you're doing right.

Timings:
Spelling Bee (6) - 5:50
Freeze Frame (4) - 3:14
Clock Game (4.5) - 4:51
Push Over (4) - 3:27
More Or Less (5.5) - 4:38
Pick A Pair (4.5) - 4:12
Total (28.5): 26:12

Nice wins on Spelling Bee, Clock Game, and Pick A Pair, and a great $26,000 win on the Big Wheel!  Good show overall, IMHO.

This is the first show I've seen in a while and it was a pretty nice one. It was great to see Spelling Bee won by finding the CAR card.

I didn't think Amber would have enough time to spit out the numbers at her speed, but she got it. I'm kind of surprised Drew didn't say anything about Amber hugging Amber after winning. I thought that would have been funny.

Also, $26,000 on the wheel is nice, too.

I'm not trying to be mean-spirited in any way, but does anyone know when the "tradition" of booing when the contestant didn't get the wheel all the way around stopped, as it did not happen twice in such a situation today?

Sometimes people still do it, but generally, nobody boos if it's an older person that didn't get the wheel all the way around. They usually only boo for younger people not getting it to go around.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

A double dollar reaction shot of family in audience.  WIN!!!

A double dollar reaction shot of random audience members not even invited on stage after showcase win.  FAIL!!!

Can you imagine Virginia and her family watching today and thinking "who the hell are those people and why do they keep showing them?"

What a great show! Virginia won Pick a Pair for Maid service, Free Gas, and PAPA JOHN'S PIZZA for a WHOLE YEAR + $26,000 on the big wheel + Virginia's showcase with a difference of $7,230 = an EPIC win for Virginia! Her total winnings:$63,489! Not too bad for being on what some might consider (or not consider) to be the "Greatest TV game show on Earth"! (I do think TPiR is one of the best TV game shows on Earth!)

Me & a friend of mine were discussing TPiR, and one thing we both know for certain is that just being there, and knowing there's a chance to get your name called out to "Come On Down!!!!" is really worth it. I bet the warm-ups they do before the show is awesome!

Great job Virginia! Congrats on your $63,489 win!

I hope the (as of now) 8 double dollars doesn't make Mike too grumpy or anything. That is a really high outlier and it should come down next season. Definitely impacted the budget in some way this season.

Well, we did have fewer DSW's and an abnormally high number of DOB's, so maybe those helped balance things out a bit? I mean, sure, people might reject prizes from a showcase for tax reasons, while no one's rejecting whatever $26K comes out to after taxes...

Anyways, this was an overall great show to end the season with. Always nice to see Bee won with the CAR card, and Virginia's $26K on the Wheel was great, too.

I seem to remember Drew actually discouraging the booing on several occasions, whereas Bob would play it up.

I recall reading that Drew does not like the booing.

whereas Bob would play it up.
And on some occasions, boo along with the audience. :-P

If we could bottle these last six episodes and give Drew a glass of them before every taping, we would have no more problems.
